Pretty compact for a full cot!
I've used this several camping trips now and I have mixed emotions about it. It is a real pain in the tush to put together the two center twisted rod combos, the rest is easy enough once you get the hang of it. I do like the compact size and ease of packing for car camping. I found it to be a bit noisy as I turn side to side. I ended up getting a slim inflatable pad for on top and still it makes noise as I roll side to side. I'm a side sleeper so this may not be the solution for me. I seem to be more comfortable on an inflatable mattress. The product is still easy enough to use. I only weight 140 lbs at most and a couple of the poles are slightly bent after 3 camping trips. I think this is a good value for the price compared to major brands that are outrageous. One long pole pocket was sewn shut when I got it but that was an easy fix. It also didn't arrive when they originally said it would so it missed the camping trip it was intended for but hey, wait and there will be more trips and there were. I'll keep it around and use it sometimes. Maybe it will grow on me even more! If you are a proven cot sleeper I think you will be pleased.

Great backpacking cot, needs better instructions.
This is a great backpacking cot. My 7-year old son and I just used these on a 3-night camp out. They are light and comfortable, but they are a little challenging to assemble. The instructions are only OK - they could be better and put more emphasis on some key tips. Once you understand how to assemble them, it isn't hard, but there are some pro-tips you learn after the first couple of times (and a few bent support rods, which you can get by searching Amazon for YAHILL Ultralight Folding Bed Portable Cot, or Tent Bed Replacements Aluminium Alloy for Indoor Outdoor Camping Hiking Fishing).1. Ensure the rods will be supported by the bracket - there are multiple ways to connect the rod and the feet/brackets. Ensure that (with the exception of the douple rod assemblies) that the support rod goes into the hole closest to the cot (not closest to the ground). This will gove the rod the support it needs.2. Ensure the siderails are fully inserted into the cot when you attach the first bracket/rod assembly. Once attached it is impossible to adjust the cot on the siderails without taking it all appart.3. When attaching the bracket/rod supports to the second siderail, pull up in the center of the rod to assist in making the tension necessary.

It was better than our Thermarests for comfort and more comfortable for ...
It's just okay. The assembly instructions could be clearer. It was better than our Thermarests for comfort and more comfortable for a back sleeper vs a side sleeper. It came apart a couple of times and had to be reassembled. The quality is just okay and once assembled the fabric was out of shape due to the way it had been sewn. We still slept okay in them but brought our Thermarests and put them on top. It was quite comfortable with the two combined but defeats the purpose of less weight and volume when backpacking or on a canoe trip. I'm 5'8" and 163lbs, my wife is 5'6" and 168lbs and they were okay for us but I'm not sure how well they would work for someone bigger or heavier. I was originally thinking of buying a couple more for my kids as presents but I'm now reconsidering. I think I would spend more for better quality but not the premium cost for the Helinox.

No support at all complicated to set up
I bought this cot and it didnt come with enough rods and plastic pieces to put it completely together. I ordered the extra parts because it doesnt come with enough. No matter how many I used I sank to the ground. I had the worst sleep ever on this cot. I ended up sleeping on the ground over this cot. That not even including the overly complicated set up and take down for this cot. I almost broke it several times just putting it together and taking it down.

It keeps off the ground
We liked how compact the cot is and the comfort up off the ground. Our dislikes were the fact that on uneven ground, the legs would fold out from under you. If you are a person that tosses and turns, the shape of the cot deforms (goes from a rectangle to a diamond shape) and the legs shift along the cot poles tearing the fabric. These cots were used at four campgrounds. The first site was sloping. The next site was level. Third site was a cabin with hard wooden bunks, we needed it here! Our fourth site was in mud almost like a waterbed effect. The cots work well on even, level ground only. All else, the cots twisted, popped bows, or just ripped and collapsed

Better than on the ground
Bought these for tent camping while on canoe trips and motorbike trips... so far so good. The aluminum tension poles are prone to getting bent if you aren't careful about making sure they are fully inserted but if you just do a quick double check after putting together to make sure they are all fully inserted there shouldn't be a problem. Make sure they fit your tent before buying. Then go camping and enjoy the great outdoors and all the adventures that go with being outside.

this cot was just right.
This was better than expected. Set up is fast enough I've used it 7+ nights it was mid 20s so I used a self inflating sleep pad for warmth. I did add some extra support rods so I could double up more than the two middle legs it was not needed just in case. Its about 4 pounds so for a cot its ultralight it was worth the weight. It packs small tho.

Great for the price
Received this yesterday and set it up without instructions (I did watch online vids a week before) I'm 5'5" and 195 pounds and had concerns that it would be too short and narrow but in combination with my Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus sleeping mat was plenty comfortable. Setup is a bit or work and more time consuming than my Moon Lence but this is also half the price and more compact (Hence more lightweight) making it my backpacking cot of choice. I have no problems with the design though it may make some squeaking noise when shifting around t's not enough to knock down the star rating I'm giving it. This is a steal for the price.
