Just received my first bag. It states on bag "Ceylon Cinnamon" and "Cinnamomum verum" and "Non-irradiated."

Q: Does package specifically state county of origin? I know label states Ceylon sticks.

No specificity of country of origin. It does specify Fair Trade Certified, USDA Organic, and non-irradiated. As a side note, and certainly due to personal preference, I was disappointed in these cinnamon sticks, and was far more impressed with the flavor of the "Cinnamon Sticks, Vietnamese Premium, 2 3/4'' 5% oil Certified Organic", also by Frontier.

A lot! I didn't count them when I got them, but it took several containers for me to store them in my shelves in the pantry. Using my scale, 1/2 0z seemed to be around 5 sticks. They vary in size a bit, of course, so conservatively, I would say at least 150 to 160 sticks in the 16 oz bag.

Q: What tool does work best to grind cinnamon sticks? Thanks.

I stick them in my vitamix and grind them up for general use. I am sure a food processor would do the same thing. For just a sprinkle of cinnamon I use the small hand held graters, like people grate garlic with or you could use a box grater. This is the real deal when it comes to cinnamon, so how ever you do it, it is better for you than the grocery store brand and fresher.
