This is NOT a 10W 20G Frontman... it's a Mini Twin
This item's banner line says "Fender Frontman 20G... etc." That's not what this is, and I knew that when I ordered it, so I was not disappointed in the least. It's a Fender Mini Twin, battery powered amp. Basically, it's a novelty. I'm a pro guitarist and in no way is this a giggable amp, but its really cute -- they did a great job of printing on the front -- very clean, crisp. And, very "Fender Looking". As far as how it sounds? Well, don't expect this to sound like, for example, a Twin Reverb, or a '65 Deluxe... it sounds like a toy - very thin. Someone could use it creatively as, for example, I've used my "Honeytone" (which I had for at least 15 years?) to sound like a little practice amp on a recording. That's what this is -- maybe not even up to practice amp. But, if you're on tour and you are writing with a colleague... or, in the car/bus/boat/other form of mass transport.... or wherever you might benefit from something to make your electric guitar audible, well, this is just what you need. It's also pretty cool looking on a shelf with a tiny little guitar. So, yes, I'm happy so far. I'm not sure it's really rugged, but I'll just have to see how it holds up over time. Probably the weak point is the speaker mounting. I'm going to do a test on battery life. You can use it with a 9V center neg brick. Also, the handle is not a real handle whereas the Honeytone DOES have an actual handle. My Honeytone sounds just as bad, and is pretty much the same thing in a different package. I included a little photoshop pic that show the size relative to a Samsung S4 cell phone.

Cool if your intentions is to put it on your shelf, not to be played.
Cool for a novelty item to put on your shelf. Waste of money if you want to play it, the speakers will blow out quick. Cheap quality.

Surprisingly good sound from a mini amp
I gave this amp five stars because it is exactly what it is designated to be, a mini 1 watt amp with (2) 3” speakers that has surprisingly good sound and volume. It also looks very cool. After reading the reviews most were spot on, but I wonder if some reviewers received a damaged, defective unit or if it was a matter of realistic expectations for a $59 mini amp? If you are looking for a light and portable amp so you can play your electric guitar at the lake, bonfires, tailgate parties, or at other places you would generally play your acoustic, you have found it. And you have the option to clip it to your belt if you like to move around while you rock out. It is also nice to have it stashed in a drawer somewhere in your home so you can spontaneously take it out and jam for fun without dragging around a heavy amp and looking for an electrical outlet close to where you want to play. It is a great little amp that does the job it was made to do and even comes with a battery. There is more volume and tone than I expected and with my G&L I can dial in a remarkably good Fender twang. I play acoustic most of the time, but when I want to play an electric guitar in a place where there is no juice, with the Mini Twin I can.

cute, tiny amp
I got this for my granddaughter, figuring she couldn't possibly already have one. I was right! She has other full-sized amps, but nothing this small and cute. She really likes it. Definitely low-power with zero bass but what do you expect?

Amazing little amp for its size
I like the portability and compact Nature. I like the option for a 9 V center negative power cord as they are easy to come by. The headset jack adds a little extra function when I want to play the e-violin quietly. I do get a bit of a hum, and I may need a filter at some point, but it’s not that troublesome whatever the source. Since I am not a performance violinist, I enjoy the portability when I am going for my lessons and showing off with my new Yamaha YEV104NT e-violin, a beautiful instrument itself.

Tiny, disappointing
Cut a lunchbox in half and this is what you end up with. The pictures make it look bigger than it is. The handle on the top is there for looks nothing more. It's a plastic embellishment pretty much. The electronics aren't very secure either. I felt something shift when I turned it on its side. Takes a 9 volt battery. The speaker must have come from a set of headphones or something because that's all I can see being able to fit inside the amp. Sound comes out together in one frequency, no separation of highs and lows. For the money, this could have been better. In fact, I expected it to be better. This is a $20 amp all day.

Arrived broken and unusable.
This should never have been resold. It was DOA. Something was loose and rattling around on the inside when it arrived. Would not power up.
