Really great. Quality. I'm buying more.
Really great. Very adjustable, quality and nice looking. I bought 2. I think I'll get 2 more. I use 3/8th all-thread to make a simple grid in my booth.

Decent Clamp for the Money
After reading the negative reviews on this product I decided to stress test this clamp for myself. If it did happen to break it would be better to find out early on instead of having expensive glassware be damaged. I happened to have a 20 pound calibration weight handy so I put it on the supposed weak areas. After letting it sit for a while I checked for any noticeable stress points and there were none. You do realize 20 pounds is a far greater weight than I would ever subject the clamp to long term and for very good reasons. However the clamp seemed to handle the excessive weight just fine with no damage. Furthermore I subjected the clamp to this stress several times in a row with similar results...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. For the final test I suspended my new Pyrex 4000 ml Erlenmeyer Flask a few inches above the base plate of my ring stand and let it sit with my hand near the bottom of the flask just in case. The flask did not budge an inch and trust me that big flask is heavy even when empty. I will however concur with other reviewers on the quality of the metal the clamp is constructed of. It doesn't take Enstein level intelligence to tell that it's a cheaper metal just by holding it in my hand. Overall for the money this clamp is an exceptional value and will probably last a long time when used properly.

Good quality.
These work very well and the PVC makes for a nice grip. Just know that you should not have it holding something like a distillation flask opening as the PVC will melt a bit. You can probably remove the PVC grips if you want to hold a piece of glassware that will be hot, but I have not tried this yet. It would probably be better just to get a cheaper one without PVC if you need that.

Far better than the clamps that came with my stand.
I picked up a basic stand for some of my lab glassware, and while it came with a decent assortment of clamps, I wanted something a bit more "robust" when I set up delicate gear like my spiral condenser. There's a lot of delicate glass there. This clamp is a world above what came with my stand. If I had to complain about 1 thing, I wish it had a bit more adjustability in the length department. But given the reasonable cost, I can live with it. I can see myself buying a few more of these in the future.

Die-cast metal?
Am I the only one that had broke the clamp? What hooks up to the rod twice a repaired it once and it cracked higher up the metal. It looks like sand compacted and wasn't really cooked all the way??. I don't know what the heck this is, wish I kept it for pictures. Full me twice, shame on you fool me only 3 times shame on me and its not happening 3 times!!! Good luck yall
