Outstanding book on fine food and a great business model guide for any foodie that wants to do better!
A great food book for anyone remotely considering any type of restaurant operation. If you enjoy excellent food, creating a happy atmosphere to make and sell it, and to work hard every day--this book is full of great lessons for you and your team.Being a cook and growing up on the production side of meat and potatoes, I learned several new things. People do not realize that one of the most pampered veggies is a potato. It is babied from the day it is dug to the day it is sliced and fried. Fruit is vastly easier to handle than potatoes. The story of the meat in their burgers is so good and true that I drool over their presentation. The only better burger is if you can get prime rib trimmings and coarse grind them for yourself! This is a book for today's food perfectionists. The story, the advice, the recipes for home use, and the photos are exceptional. The "adaptation" of each "Shack" to its location, neighborhood, and climate proves their dedication that goes into each place individually. They do not do cookie cutter outlets. They know what makes food taste great, the science behind it, and the appeal to customers that stand in line to taste and savor each bite.

More than you bargained for
Purchased this book for my traveling companion after a recent visit to the Shake Shack in Austin. Not only is this book loaded with yummy recipes and beautiful photos, but the text provides an interesting journey through the history of the Shake Shack and it’s ingredients. The book is more than a cookbook, and if you know a Shake Shack devotee then this book is a great gift.

This is a morally responsible business!
I first heard of this company during the Covid virus event, when the government offered them a very large loan to keep their business afloat. They returned the money so other businesses could tap into it. I saw that they had a cookbook and read the reviews. We have absolutely LOVED these recipes, especially for the humble hamburger! I've been cooking for 50+ years and never knew how much better a hamburger could taste just from cooking it in a cast iron pan! If you like tasty food, simple and straight forward, you won't regret buying this book!

Interesting book
This book not only delves into the recipes of Shake Shack but also into the history that made it well known. If your interested in the fast food industry this is a book to have.

Not your typical recipe book, but there is plenty in here to work with
Only posting this because of the reviews here saying there aren't recipes many in here, and that it's more of a history book. There are plenty of burger/chicken/smoothie/hot dog recipes in the book, as well as sections about the history of shake shack and where they get their produce. The only part of the burger recipe they dont give you is the secret ingredient to the Shack Sauce, but they give you a very close variation to work with. There is tons of information in the book and a lot that I'm looking forward to try my hand at.

Good book and informative, but really just a big ego trip
This is a highly informative and fun to look at book but it also just feels like shake shack is jerking themselves off and touting how good they are when they’re in fact not even the best fast food burger in town. They could’ve focused more on their history and heritage and maybe how fast food burgers have been for the past couple years and how they have evolved. Instead, the authors tend to just focus on details that seem a bit egotistical. You’re better off looking up the history of the chain online for free instead of spending money on this. You’ll more or less get the same info.

Love love love, best burgers and people
When visiting NYC I met Shake Shack. Love at first sight. Had to have the book so I can try and recreate the amazing memories my friend and I had at Shake Shack. From the wonderful personnel to the midnight burgers due to a jetlag. We loved it, I don't think I've ever felt so welcome in a restaurant as with Shake Shack. The book is amazing, you can feel the hospitality and warmth from the way they talk about their recipes. Brings back so many good memories, I'm heading back to NYC ASAP and Shake Shack and I will finally meet again.
