Advanced Bestiary for the Pathfinder RPG Hardcover – October 8, 2014

This is a fantastic book that is sure to be a great addition to any GM's monster repertoire. The templates are clearly explained and examples are shown on how to use each one. Granted, there are many that I personally would never use, but that's because of the tone or scope of my particular game, but that might be perfect for other GMs. Even if you only ever use a few of the templates from the book, it is well worth the price. I did spot a few little editorial glitches, but overall it is a well done, good looking book. The artwork is outstanding for the most part and evocative of the new monsters that can be created. My only concern -- and I haven't seen anyone else mention this yet, so hopefully it isn't an issue -- is that after one read the spine seems loose and I can actually feel and hear it cracking, and when I the book I can see that the pages are not attached to the hardcover spine. Inside I can see the inner binding cracking, although it looks like the book has also been sewn, so maybe that won't be an issue. I'm just worried that it won't hold up and the pages will start to fall out.

As others have noted, the content, visuals, and layout of this book are excellent. However, the physical binding is poor -- the spine is barely attached to the cover, and it looks like some of the pages (if not the entire contents) will fall out soon. I returned my first copy to Amazon for this reason, but my second appears to be no better. Folks deserve better from a $50 book. I hope that Green Ronin will consider finding a better printer in the future, or at least inspect more copies before sending them into distribution.

This is a great book that will expand the monster s in your campaign tenfold. The templates are creative and imaginative, and should bring an extra edge to your game. Is this book necessary in order to add monsters with a twist to your game? Not really, but most of the heavy lifting (mechanics wise) is done for you. I recommend this book for any GM looking to throw something different and unique at their group.

Arrived quickly and in great shape. Awesome book! Definitely a must-have if you're running an original campaign and want to create some unique or memorable monsters.

I expectd to find this a very useful book - it's better than expected

It's got a lot of cool creatures in it, and it really makes my mind race with ideas!

One of the most detailed books with top notch illustrations worth every penny

Great material, this is well worth purchasing.A couple of points worth noting though.1. The book has ridiculously large type. To the point where you question if they were just trying to fill space or pad out the size of the book.2. The quality of the binding is questionable. It hasn't fallen apart, but it looks like it wants to.

Great product, really useful, multiply Monsters possibility and is an incredible source of idea!
