The Gods Are Still Among Us!
Ok, so this is an early review (the game just came out today). Here's the deal, I've played for a few hours (story-mode, online, extra modes, etc) and if you're a fan of the first Injustice, you'll love this game. The character roster is interesting (aside from a few...I could have done without Bane or Joker--and would have loved to see Batwoman, Black Manta, or Ertigan instead--but that's just me). The gear/loot system is fun, and adds a neat customization aspect that keeps things fresh. I feel it was a smart decision, especially to make it stand out from the first game. I've read a few people complain of glitches or game freezing bugs--but I haven't yet encountered any. If I do, I will edit my review and change my rating accordingly. Also, regarding the Darkseid DLC pre-order: Everyone should check their email (junk/other folders included). Amazon sent the pre-order code via email--it is NOT included in the game case. (This is a repeat of the Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain situation). I received my code through an Amazon email, so make sure you don't delete it. It's also easy to miss...the subject says "Benefit Confirmation."Also, if you pre-ordered, you receive a physical comic. Well, a mini-comic actually. It comes inside the case and is in a square-shaped format. Honestly, I'd prefer if they opted for a regular sized comic but, hey, at least it's not digital-only.Overall, no real complaints. Sure, the "complete edition" will be out eventually...but there aren't too many games I'm interested in this year, and I've been looking forward to Injustice 2 for quite some time, so it was an instant pre-order. Thus far, I'm not disappointed.

Amazing game!
This game is just flat out awesome! I have the 1st Injustice game for the ps3 and as soon as I found out that a sequel was coming out I knew I had to get my hands on it. I am very pleased indeed! The graphics are phenomenal, the game-play is smooth and the story is just incredible. I read many reviews on other sites about this game and a common complaint is that the blocking mechanism sucks and in that regard I agree. This is just how the game was developed though. You either have to become an expert at learning the blocking system or just hope you can evade attacks because just pressing back doesn't do s**t. You have have to block low attacks, overhead attacks, medium attacks and a combination of all of these things coming at you could prove very frustrating. Overall though, as I said this game is fantastic. The stock characters that the game comes with are amazing and with new DLC content constantly coming out you can try out other new characters and get a feel for them also. This is without a doubt one of the best fighting games out now!

Solid fighter
Fun solid fighting game. I'm more than halfway through the story and the facial animations and dialog are on point. The fighting is fluid and there's a character for everyone's style and experience level. I have a PS4 Pro im not sure if this game uses the extra power or not but the HDR lighting is great especially with all the characters special L2 + R2 moves. The character customization is great with certain gear giving your fighter attribute boost and a unique look from everyone else that plays online. Mirror matches aren't really mirror matches when you may have a weapon or piece of gear stronger or weaker than the person you are facing so it makes it very rewarding to stick with it and get better.

*Be careful getting this game*
I have been eagerly waiting for this game for months and now that I have it I'm disappointed for 2 reasons. First as normal with Amazon pre order bonuses dealing with DLC Amazon normally either gives you the code to download the DLC the day you purchase or it gets emailed to you days before. I have yet to receive the code for Darkseid but I can be patient and wait for that. Number 2 on the other hand is concerning and why I stress caution getting this game right now. I put in the game and went through the tutorial and in 2 minutes the game crashes. I noticed there was an update for the game(update 1.02) so I waited for the update to finish. I was able to complete the training but the moment I started story mode the game crashes again! I sincerely hope they patch this and quickly. So at this time I have to give it a 1 star because the game is unplayable for me. So once again just be careful getting this game at this time and wait a little bit. Learn from my mistake

Terrible animations and SFX...
It's obvious reviewers these days are easily swayed by loot boxes, which is what this game does a lot of. What this game does best is single player content. It has a decently lengthy Story mode with good production values. Gameplay is very bland, animations are bad, sound effects are bad, input lag is high. It actually feels higher than Street Fighter V.The sound effects sound the same on pretty much every character. There's no real impact either regardless of character size. The weird sound effects only make it worse. Might as well make punching sound effects with your mouth and put them in the game. I'm playing on mute lately. Some Supers don't run at 60fps. Actually, maybe they all don't. They drop frame rate. Seems they drop to 30fps, which looks bad since the main gameplay runs at 60fps. The overly long cutscenes for supers gets beyond tiring too. Once you've seen it for the first couple times, you just want to skip them. It completely kills the pace and momentum of the fight, and the game already has pace issues.Animations are the worst thing about this game. They look like rag dolls, which is a complaint NetherRealm Studios has always received, in addition to their awkward face models. Have you seen Joker? Do you want to customize him to look better? You can't. There is nothing that could cover his hideous face. The good stuff I can say about the game is that it's ridiculously simple to play, and there is good single player stuff. That's all. If it weren't for the amazing DC characters, I doubt anyone would buy this. DC deserves better gameplay than this.
