where is this adze made?

Answer here...Czechoslovakia by a very old tool company. Not a American household brand. Relitivly new to the west. I have a number of their tools. Beautiful fit and finish. The steel is not as hard but it makes for easy sharpening. They represent an exceptional value. Expect some honing.

How do i contact the seller? after re shaping i love the tool but the handle broke. the grain orientation was totally wrong.

Why does this cost so much more than adze's used for cultivating? The only difference I can see is a curved blade edge.

We used ours to hand hewn wood timbers to match original timbers on a 1920’s home. I don’t believe a blade for gardening would be sharp enough and strong enough to hand hewn wood
