How do you close the bag with the mats inside the top? Do you have to bend the mats?

They don’t go all the way in . We fold over the mat with fabric and then close it . The larger mats we keep stored in our craft closet . But it holds two smaller mats , tools , the ruler with blade . Side pocket has slots for markers also .

Great carry bag and protection

I bought one for my maker3 and liked so much I bought my daughter one for hers.We travel to visit family a couple times a year. This fits the maker3 well, and has room for cords, tools, pens...It's nice looking, makes the machine easy to carry, and keeps it clean and protected in my trunk.

Makes transport easy!

This bag has made bringing my Maker machine between my home and studio super easy. The machine fits perfectly and has velcro straps to hold it in place. It's also got lots of pockets, so I am able to bring along stuff like the AC adaptor/cable, tools, blades, and even mats and cutters. There are handles so that you can carry it like a duffel bag, but it also includes a shoulder strap that clips on, which stores easily in one of the ample pockets when not in use.
