Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat Reading Glasses

Love these reading glasses! They fold flat when you close the hard sided flat case - and take up hardly any room in your purse!

Great reading glasses to carry around town. I always have these in a front pocket of my jeans... or end up regretting it if I forget them. They are very quick to pull out to use for menus at restaurants or reading product labels at stores... and just as quick and easy to put away. I think the way the hinges bend to fold into the case would also make the likelihood of damaging, such as by sitting on them, much less. The nose supports aren't large so not ideal for long wear, but for me these are only used when out and for short periods. These are a brilliant design I now would not want to live without. I'd rather have not grown old, but these make it a bit easier. If only they'd get rid of the grey in my hair.

These reading glasses are very compact, sturdy, and fit well on my face. The hard case they come in last well even under constant air travel duress. The lenses are scratch resistant and stay safe in the lined case. I have had one pair for several years without incident with lots of worldwide travel. They have become hard to find although (thanks COVID). I did find them on Amazon and decided to pick up a couple extra pairs since my current pair have been in use for many years just so I don't have to find something different later down the road. I would recommend these reading glasses to anyone looking for a good compact pair.

I purchased these reading glasses a few years ago. I bought them because they are thin and compact and after I added a clip to the side I kept them clipped to my pocket. The case finally broke, not the glasses, but the case is mostly what made them convenient to carry. I ordered another pair in 2.0 and they sent me 2.5, thus they lose a star for not being able to get the order right. I will try to use them but I can always use my old pair with the new case.

These are great to pop in your purse or briefcase.

These are my choice having tried 3 readers of this style, even though they’re more expensive. I usually wear other larger readers but keep one of these in my bag because readers can be easy to forget or misplace. The case is the best of the three. There is a spring effect in which they squish down into the case, so they aren’t quite as flat when you’re wearing them. When you’re wearing them, they look more normal on than the super tiny flat brands.

The glasses work fine. I've owned several pairs of them. About half of the cases have had a hinge pin shift out of place, causing the case to fail. In some instances, I would re-position the pin and use some super glue to keep it in place. I just purchased a pair of the glasses a few weeks ago and within a day the pin shifted. I spent some time trying to get it back in position but ultimately decided to return them. It's a design flaw that needs to be fixed before I'll buy another pair.
