Very well-constructed from quality materials, it feels solid and stable in the hand. This guide by Kreg will ensure you drill a straight hole every time, be it on a flat surface, corner or cylindrical. It's like having a mini drill press in your bag.

I needed both 3/8 and 1/4 through holes for lag bolts of that size, and also pilot holes. This tool made sure every one was straight. Very helpful esp for the 3/8 which didn't have much room for error in the middle of wall studs.

Holes are as stated and the plastic is hard and durable because I managed to drop it twice from 4ft height. This will definitely help in my woodworking hobby weekends. I think that it’s fairly compact and can sit on my bench or in my apron as I work. It’s also not too heavy either so if I just put it in my pocket or in my apron it doesn’t feel like an anvil.

Helps you line up the drill for perfectly straight holes. It's certainly an improvement over eye-balling it. Sturdy.

Easy to use, nice and sturdy, does not move around. I had to drill +-126 holes inside a drawer to fit dowel pins for cottons, took some time to centre each time, but the holes came out nice and straight. Even though I needed metric measurements, I took the size that fit my drill bit best, and it worked like a charm. It is not metric, but it is also in the product description

I needed to drill 1/2" holes at a true perpendicularity to the surface of a very mature hardwood of 115mm thickness, as the posts were to be used as verandah roof supports using heavy guage stainless steel stirrup fittings on the bases. The Kreg drill guide did this very well, but clamping the guide in place is necessary.
