CamelBak Magnetic Tube Trap, Grey, One Size

Finally a hydration hose holder that does not fail in critical time. I was frustrated with traditional magnet holders from Osprey and others that seem to fail in the worst time. The one from CamelBack holds the hydration securely, easy to attach and remove when needed. I am replacing all mine with this new Tube Trap.

I like my older CamelBak but the tube always presented an issue. I don't know if it's because of my smaller upper body proportion but the mouthpiece knocked against my arm as I walked and I found myself pushing it up out of the way, but then the tube would hit the back of my neck. This clip keeps the tube where I want it and because it rotates it's at the perfect angle. I was worried there wouldn't be a place to fix it on to the strap, but luckily there's a piece of fabric on the strap that's the perfect width for the clip to wrap around. Wish I'd thought of getting this years ago!

So happy with this purchase-it fits my insulated water hose--I had a hard time finding a magnetic one that would fit the large hose size. The magnet works great! Be sure to measure the strap you are going to hook it to on your pack--my strap is a little too narrow and it tends to slide off but I am going to secure it so it can't slide off!

This is a great concept. The clips to attach to the webbing are a bit narrow and bend fairly easily. I wish the width of the webbing clips was wider to accommodate mil-spec webbing, but it works fine on Camelbak bags. I have also noticed that the magnetic area on the fixed clip fills with dirt/mud easily and prevents the tube from seating well. I've had to dig dirt out a few times during muddy events before the magnet would seat. With all that said, I still love this clip. It is fast to unclip and reclip and stays clipped fairly well so long as you keep the magnets free of debris. I have bought several for my various Camelbak bags and I recommend them to others. (Oh, as long as I'm listing some improvements, how about offering these in coyote tan or dessert tan instead of grey?)

I 'finally' found a Magnetic Hydration Pack Tube 'Magnetic' keeper 'That Actually Works!' I've purchased many magnetic tube holders, sadly all of them are junk, well Camelbak's new Magnetic 'Tube Trap' actually works and works well, the clip holding the tube will go directly straight into the magnetic base but won't come out straight, it must be slid sideways to get it to release, the magnet is super strong , I can plainly see a horseshoe shaped metal clip in the receiving cavity that must be the key to it's ability to hold the tube clip in place until the user slides it out sideways, I am 'Totally Impressed' with Camelbak's new Hydration Tube 'Trap,' now they need to start manufacturing them in more colors than gray. I Totally Recommend Camelbak's Magnetic Tube Trap to everyone, you can stop wasting your hard earned money on worthless magnetic tube keepers of all makes! Thank You Camelbak for manufacturing these great tube traps.

Camelbak's magnetic holders are the best. I just have to put my hose in the general vicinity of the clasp, and magnetism takes care of the rest. Once it's latched, it will never accidentally come out.

It's not the cheapest thing, but it works well. I love the camelbak bladder but have an Osprey pack. I took the recommendation from other reviews to fasten the magnet with a ziptie. Problem solved re: the clip falling off.

The magnetic clip was easy to install on the cross chest strap, and just what I needed to keep the tube handy, and from contacting my legs, pedaling & tucked.It fits well, and is easy to use, then the magnet pulls it right back to its home, until needed again - keeping the tube & bite valve stowed perfectly. This reduces the hand activity even more while riding, which is good. You want your right hand on the levers to shift.I think this clip should be part of the Camelbak pkg, it’s needed, and that good.
