The shovel will probably be fine to use but it was advertised as made in the USA but when it arrived, it was marked made in China. I was looking for a good sturdy shovel with wooden and metal handle and this shovel was made partly of plastic.

I use this mostly for turning my compost and digging up the odd plant to relocate. It's short, and if I had to use it for long stretches of time or very frequently I probably wouldn't love it, but it works for what I need to do. The handle often sounds like it's cracking when I use it, but I haven't seen any visible weaknesses.

This shovel is a very well-crafted tool, unlike many of today's cheap ones that don't stand the test of time. Highly recommend it for the quality and the price. Perfect for snow shoveling.

It's a shovel, and it works; however, if offered as new, it should be delivered as new; this one had a long, deep gouge on the shovel blade, and several scratches and dents on the handle. Doesn't seem to affect the utility of the shovel, but still...

I am only 5‘2“ tall. This is the perfect shovel for me to use for digging.

A right size for a not-tall man like me.

Pretty cheaply made. I have two Union shovals, and had them for years. They are both heavy-duty, and have served me well. This new one will last for years too, because it will rarely get used. I live on a farm, and this shovel won't cut it. I will keep it, and let my grandchildren use it.
