Fun for all ages!
This is the rare type of game that is easy enough to be fun for a kid to play (suggested for 8+ by the box, I think a kid as young as 6 could enjoy it if they have a big vocabulary or if you played on teams and helped them a bit, but my 8 year old didn't need any help) but also challenging enough for an adult. To find a word game that my 8 year old can beat me at fair and square is pretty fun! If the game is too uneven though, you can set the timer for 30 seconds for kids and 10 seconds for adults. My 8 year old and I had a lot of fun playing and laughed lots.To me the board seemed superfluous and the instructions a bit confusing, so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, but I do think gameplay is fun enough to say this is a game every family should have. In particular if you like word games like Scattergories and Taboo, you need this game!

Fast-paced fun!
We played After Words on one of our Family Game Nights (though it was bright outside). The game is played with 2-4 players. My husband, my 10-year-old son, 12-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son played. My 6 year old was a little young for the game, so he needed some help, but he really wanted to play with us. We set the timer to 20 seconds, which sometimes was plenty of time and sometimes not enough time to come up with an answer. It took a few minutes for everyone to get into the groove of playing, but once the kids got it, it became pretty fast-paced. My husband was the first to use all his cards, followed by my 10-year-old. They all had a lot of fun and asked to bring the game to the beach when we go next week!

Decent Game
This is a decent game, interesting concept for sure, but I'm trying to come up with game play variations for it because we found that we were frequently playing on the same 3-4 letters. Some of the categories are too hard for certain ages, but those can be skipped in a fair manner. I think the timer has a great design, where you can change the settings and it easily resets each time it is put down, but the beeping was highly annoying to me and somewhat stressful for the 10 year olds with whom I was working with. It definitely encourages quick thinking skills, provides excitement and fun as well as vocabulary and spelling practice. We will get good use out of it but anticipate coming up with a few different rules to suit our situation. Luckily, it doesn't have many pieces and will be flexible enough for that type of customization.

An okay word game
I got this hoping it would help build vocabulary and spelling. It is an okay game, but after spending time on the game when you use the last letter of a word, you eventually end up repeating the same letters over and over again. I'm really not sure why they inculded a game board since you don't really do anything on the board except for putting the timer on the letter. The instructions say your time is up when the timer buzzes, but the timer is really wierd. It plays a short tune and then stops when time runs out. There is no "buzz." When I opened the box, I thought pieces were missing because there was the game board, timer and cards and that's it. Even my daughter asked me where the pieces were. The concept of the game is good, but I wouldn't call this an exciting game.

Vocabulary game
The game is intended for improving thinkin in the English language and building a vocabulary. Pupils whom are non native speakers can play this game from the age of 10.The parts are well made and is a great game for group play. Suspense is added with the "after words" buzzer which adds a sense of excitement.Great value for money.

Good, quick, and easy game to set-up and play
I got this game for my 5th grade classroom as a choice for indoor recess and our morning work time. I like that it's a game that can be played without a set ending and cleaned up quickly with very few pieces. It's challenging enough for adults when we played at home but very doable for kids too. We didn't use the timer for my 6 year old so she could play without the pressure. It's engaging and fast paced for everyone.

Fun, quick word game
Played AfterWords from Educational Insights. It was easy to set up and fun to play. We got better as we played it and started finding words that ended in new letters so we weren't using the same letters over and over again. The eight yr. old and ten yr. old especially enjoyed it.#educationalinsights

We really enjoyed playing this game with our nine year old
We really enjoyed playing this game with our nine year old! It's fun and also challenging. Difficult for young children, but great even as a game just for adults. We laughed and "raced" to think of words and stump each other. Definitely a great addition for Family Game Night or a gift.
