Zoeller 30-0238 Inline Check Valve, Small, Black

Installed today on a 1hp sump pump, and the check valve appears to be working well. I don’t see water returning to the pit from the discharge pipe. I had tested the unit out of the box (pre-installation) and noticed there was a small trickle from the flap. I believe this trickle is only due to not having enough water weight as compared to a full discharge tube of water pressing down on the flap. It’s a nice, quiet check valve, with a pre-drilled weap hole, easy to thread onto the sump pump, etc. Far better than the Wayne brand that is similar and similarly priced ~$20. Nice compact design that fits in narrow sump pit or a multi pump pit.

Paired this with a Zoeller 1/2 horse pump. Works perfect and is quiet. Makes installation a breeze. No glue needed.

By installation has a little over 9ft. rise and so far (three months into use with a number of large storms driving much sump pump activity) this valve has simply been great. Not only has the check valve kept the pipe filled above the valve during active periods. it's held water over day. There's no audible sound from the valve. Highly recommend.

It is simple to install, takes up little space and easy to service if required. I like that it is a Zoeller part that I use in conjunction with my Zoeller 1052 sump pump. Both items work well together.

I installed two check valves and they work flawlessly. Installation was super easy. Just screw into pump outlet and tighten a couple of clamps and done. They have a small hole that releases any water above flap after the pump stops. My only concern is the valve is simply a rubber flap molded onto the body (thus only use for vertical applications) and it looks real flimsy - I hope it lasts, as my sump pump goes on/off constantly and I don't want to have to replace these every couple of years.

The Zoeller 30-0238 check valve is exactly what I needed. It is a very compact and simple design that screws in directly to a 1 1/2" sump pump discharge. It is of better construction than similar purpose valves sold in hardware and big box stores. Unfortunately, the picture shown (the long white valve assembly) is not the Zoeller 30-0238 valve. The valve shown appears to be the Zoeller 30-0040 valve which is also a good valve, although not the model that I wanted. By the way, it took me a few phone calls to figure this out. I informed Amazon of the error and was assured that they would update the picture sometime in the future. Time will tell.

Does the job great but its making that noise every time it shuts like « boom boom » since my pumps starts regularly I hear it every time if I am in the basement…. I don’t hear if not in basement. What I like its it will fit in a really small location
