NiCad batteries are becoming more scarce. These sub-C batteries brought a very old Sony Hi8 camcorder back to life. Soldering the tabs was a bit difficult, they were not tinned. Other than that one minor fault these batteries work very well.

So my 2001 wet/dry vac (AKA dust buster) was in need of a battery replacement, this isn't the first time I've done this and it's simple to do if you have a soldering iron and you'll probably save some $$ too instead of purchasing a pre-made battery pack. Great price & 1YR warranty.The dust busters run time is back to normal now 👍 Will have to see how long they last.I tested these battery and capacity -mAh- checks out okay.

Many years ago, I picked up a couple hand held vacuum cleaners, one for the RV and one for the kitchen. They have long ago deteriorated to scrap, the kitchen one was still in good enough shape so I figured a good project. Got the batteries and soldered them up right, installed in the little device and she is picking up spilled cereal and cat food like nobody's business. Cost about 1/4 of a new one so cost effective as well. I have no idea about longevity so hard to rate that.

I checked capacity with a charger, the capacity is very close to 2000mAh. It is good replacement for an old handhold vacuum. New B&D you need hold the button to use, I'd rather fix old one.

Have not installed the cells into a battery pack yet but they do appear to be OK.
