Great sturdy unit for storage, not so easy to assemble
Bought this unit recently to visibly house my LP collection which was previously hidden on a closet shelf and hard to reach at that. Once assembled the unit is very elegant due to its matte black finish and most importantly very sturdy. I have a mixture of single LPs and box sets on all three shelves with enough breathing space on each end and the unit shows no signs of fatigue whatsoever IMHO. I like the angled design that makes it easier to access records on the top and middle shelves - however one will probably need to crouch down or kneel to access the bottom shelf. The unit takes up little space overall so that is a big plus - just know that the angled design means that the records will protrude outwards a bit so keep that mind wherever you plan on putting said unit. And please!!! follow my advice and the advice of the other reviewers and do not!!! use the wheels. When full the rack will be very heavy and I do believe that the wheels will buckle and the records and rack will topple over if moved. Use the rubber legs instead - just screw them in manually and you are set (no tools for this step). Just keep the rack in one place and you will be fine. Now, as to the assembly. The reviews saying that the rack can be assembled 15 to 20 minutes needs to be taken with a grain of salt. It took me much longer than that because of all the parts involved and because of the instructions which are practically worthless. Here is what is involved - each of the sides consists of three sections that must be screwed together. Then there are the 12 crossbeams (the actual shelves) of which four must be attached to each section of the side units. Advice - if assembling by yourself screw in the crossbeams to one side first and then push the other side to the other end of the beam and screw that in. There are 24 large screws which fasten the crossbeams to the sides and and 32 small screws which attach the sections of each side. In addition there are 8 connector rods each about an inch long which are screwed (small screws) inside the ends of each of the side section parts. You must use these short rods as they keep the sections of each side together from the inside once screwed in - otherwise the sides may collapse. As bad as the photos in the instructions are please pay heed to the warning on the pamphlet regarding care in not assembling the No.4 part upside down - this happened to me with the end result being my having to do some reassembling. The finished product should look just like the picture in Step 5. The shelves should be angles like a cradle with the front crossbeam facing up - this beam holds the bottom of each album with the other crossbeams at the back holding yes you guessed it - the back of each album. If the beams are in the opposite direction you have put one of the side sections upside down. I should mention that the package contains a mini screwdriver which fastens the screws just right. after assembly do make sure that all the screws are tightened securely so that it can withstand the weight of whatever you use the unit for. A wrench is also included but I did not heed that. And again, please do not use the wheels lest they buckle under pressure - use the rubber feet please! So to sum up, this rack is a very welcome storage unit which though built for records can also hold magazines. books ( you judge what fits) and other articles of that size. Just allow a good deal of time if doing the assembly by yourself and have patience. Trust me, your patience will be well rewarded. Once the job is done you can fill up your rack, celebrate a job well done , have a drink and enjoy! Heck, I may even buy another one now that I know what to expect. Update - Bought another unit last week; arrived recently and promptly unpacked it. Checked all the contents - no missing parts. Now that I knew what the assembly entailed I followed my own instructions (see above) and had the rack up and ready in about 90 minutes. Looks great and look forward to filling it up - I am sure it will be just as good as the first one. Just know once again that there is a certain amount of labor involved but you will be rewarded with a very beautiful, durable and functional unit.

Great purchase
The rack was easy to put together and came with all the pieces needed. It is extremely sturdy and very attractive and doesn't take up a lot of space. We have 240 albums on there now and still have plenty of room for more. We have the rolling caster on ours but you have the option to make it stationary, nice to have that option. I highly recommend this product.

LP rack looks nice and is very sturdy after assembly.
This is an excellent rack for holding LP albums. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is because during assembly I had to use a tap & die set (tools not included) to re-thread about 4 of the bolt holes. I simply could not start threading these 4 bolts in their holes due to poor machinery during manufacture. Fortunately I knew exactly what to do and I do own a tap & die set so this was not a deal breaker. It took a little extra effort but I love the finished product. This rack is holding well over 225 of my LP albums just fine and is very sturdy. It comes with both solid feet and also wheels for the bottom if preferred. I chose to install the wheels in case I want to easily move it to another location in my office. Overall, I can recommend this product.

Lotsa storage. Small footprint. Surprisingly stable.
Had a ton of inherited vinyl as well as my own old collection. Could not find a way to keep them organized and available since I outgrew milk crates, and this was the only option that held so many LPs in such a compact space. Thought I could get everything into just two levels (it lets you build it two or three levels high) but was glad I had the third.

Awesome rack!
Easy to put together! Single 68 year old and I had no problem. I have over 300 albums but weeded out the ones I donโt want to keep. Was able to put all on but after removing about 50 have room to spare. I opted for the wheels so I can move around if needed. Good value and VERY sturdy.

Nice Rack...but
This is the coolest record holder It works great and holds the weight well. The casters are really nice. I had to deduct a star because: -The sides of the top shelf are pointed. If you have 12" records there and they fall over the points dig into them. I put a triangular piece of plywood there protect the records in case they shift. -I have two of these stands and had to return one for replacement. Sometimes the side pieces don't line up well. So try different orientations before you decide to return it.
