Good product
After an initial problem figuring out how to import audio files, I find that this software and foot pedal work fine. I did have to call their toll free customer support line because the import process wasn't intuitive. Their customer service hours are limited, but they were very helpful. There are many options to customize how the product works and I am using it easily. I did not like the head phones under my chin, but am just using an older pair.

Excellent for Legal Secretary dictation
Does everything I need for legal secretary work transcribing. Slowing down the voice does not work as well, but I can pause the dictation with the pedal and rewind easily to catch the word or sentence again.

The foot pedal is easy to use
Transcribing from the Phillips digital recorder works well after figuring out the complicated procedure necessary to make that happen. The foot pedal is easy to use. What's missing is an easy way to keyboard the playback onto a separate Word document. It took me half a day to make that procedure work.

Seems the license will eventually expire no matter what!
Purchased several of these for my company. You have to deactivate the license on the old computer before installing on a new computer, which is understandable. However, if that old computer crashes, there doesn't seem to be a way to actually speak with someone at Philips to reset it.Also, it seems the license will eventually expire over time so if you DO deactivate the license, you cannot activate it again because the expiration is permanent. Was on the phone with Philips for 20 minutes before speaking with someone who had no idea Philips sold this product. She put me on hold and said she found the right department and even gave me a phone number to call them directly if we got disconnected. We got disconnected. Called the number they gave and that number is no longer in service. Now, we're in a bind, as we will have to replace all of the dictation units if we go with another transcription software.Great product, when it works, but horrible customer service. Go with another brand.

So far unusable
I purchased this over the Olympus because the documentation of the Olympus wasn't clear if it would run on Win 8.1 or not and this one stated it did. I had an Olympus years ago and liked it. I don't like layout of the pedal as much as the old one. The middle one is too small so too easy to hit the side pedals to ff or rew accidentally. (my wife is the one who uses this 95% of the time and she doesn't complain about this). My biggest problem is that I installed the software on my laptop to try it out and then installed it on my wife's computer. It said it couldn't find the license so I followed all the instructions to remove it from my laptop and release the license. However, it still won't allow me to open the program on my wife's computer. Simply says no license found and kicks me out. No way to open and enter the product key. Here is the real kicker. Philips help is only open for about 3-4 hours a day until 9am Eastern (I am on the west coast so I had to call by 6am). the person taking the call couldn't fix a simple license issue (like resetting it) and had someone call me back a few days later. I wasn't available so they left a message. I have not been able to reach them again so I had to purchase a third party software (NCH Express Scribe), which keeps locking up the computer. I am a long way from happy. Really wish I had gone with the Olympus.

Overall good product, but the Foot Pedal is a little small.
Overall good product, but the Foot Pedal is a little small. The software is easy to use, and works well.
