I'm afraid you're stuck with the rechargeable battery. It's built-in. Of course, you could take the whole thing apart, but that would defeat the purpose.

Does this lenovo mouse work on hp star wars laptop?

It should work with any laptop the has Bluetooth enabled. I use it with a MacBook just fine.

How long does the cork grip last? Does it start falling apart?

I have had mine for several months now and it shows no signs of falling apart. There is slight discoloration from the oils from my hand, but otherwise still looks good!

Does it work for Macs?

The mouse can connect by Bluetooth or by the included universal receiver. Neither mode should be affected by whether you are using a MAC or a PC.
