Works, but follow instructions. It's not absolutely waterproof but you'll see beading and yet retain the fabric feel.

This product worked very well in cleaning all out down and you get a lot of use out of the small bottle! Totally revived our down, we have not tested out the dwr coating yet but it was easy to apply. I will come back and change the review if the dwr does not work.

It does not get the shell clean, particularly if it’s white.

Works quite well. Much better than Nikwax.

I hope there are people out there who really do care that this product is "cruelty-free", whatever that means...For what it is - it's fairly expensive, not very effective (on par with walmart-bought cheap stuff), and smells pretty horribly (it could very well be a "natural smell" - as is the smell of half-fermenting, half-rotting milk, or sweat...). I got it because it was positively reviewed (best all around) in don't kind of an outdoorsy gear publication. Now both this product and that publication are safely off my purchase list.

I love this product! I bought it to clean my Patagonia Windsweep down hoodie because It had gotten dirty this winter. I was skeptical at first but the down wash works wonders and got rid of all the dirt on my jacket and left no detergent stains. Will definitely keep buying this product.

So researching a good quality waterproofing spray for backpacks, jackets, etc. This spray seems to be rated number 1 or 2. After I received this product I followed all the directions and sprayed my backpack with this and let it dry. After it was done I wanted to see the product work and assumed the product would bead and shed water not allowing it to soak into the fabric of my backpack... but that is not what happened. Instead the water just soaked in just like it used to. I then sprayed my pack again covering the wear areas thoroughly. Same result. I'm not sure why this product is rated so high when it clearly doesn't work. I have tried other products in the past and they shed water as soon as the product dries. Not too happy considering the price of this stuff.
