Just the Wrong Twin
Impressive! I have read the previous 8 Flat Iron 5 Fitness books in the series and although they were awesome stories, in my opinion this one was the best too date. The MCs had lots of issues to deal with both physically as well as internally and the fact that a love that seemed so far removed would ultimately prevail made this story a heartbreaking but joyful read. I started the book and couldn’t put it down.

Sweet Nate & Sonia, the overcomer, can't say goodbye
Wow what a story that was so much more in every way! It's more than a romance and it deals with some really heavy hurts these two individuals have triumphed over. Both of these two are damaged souls who refuse to say hurt. Beware to those sensitive to PTSD & childhood abuse that this may be a trigger story. Some will find it was therapeutic as it shows paths to healing. It was steamy too as there is so much chemistry between these two. Nate is my favorite type of hero, a guardian protector, and Sonia pushes herself to overcome her past and help others. It's the first book that I've read that took the pandemic as part of the story and I was delighted to see how she worked with it. We also have the last book in the series before it spins off to another and we got to catch up with all our friends and how their lives have changed.Nate Buchanan is celebrating his friend's wedding, after which he's leaving Manhattan and Flatiron Five Fitness for a new start in Boston. When he spots Sonia Olson, who once called him sweet, she stops him in his tracks because just wow! She's different somehow and he can't take his eyes off her. They decide to have a one-and-done before he leaves. Little did he realize that wasn't possible with her. He decided long ago when his fiancée left him after he lost his hand, that he would never give his heart again. Little did he realize Sonia was a woman he can't forget.Sonia Olson is a yoga instructor at F5F. Her boss Cassie has been trying to get her to do a podcast series because she knows it would be a huge hit. Sonia is dragging her heals because she has secrets she's hiding and is afraid of the exposure. As she spends time with Nate she finds herself becoming braver and willing to take chances as he's done in his life. They keep thinking they are done with each other and then there's reasons for more contact. I loved everything about their journey. Each one built the other up becoming better together than separately. There are big secrets in Sonia's past and he gives her the support necessary to face and triumph over them.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Heartfelt, Sweet and Hot Chemistry too
Just the Wrong Twin (Flatiron Five Fitness #9) is the newest installment in the hottest series I have read written by Deborah Cooke. Two wounded souls who deserve to find happiness. This is their story. Believe that this is a keeper.Nate and Sonia attend Jacquie and Pierce’s wedding not together but the opportunity to leave together presents itself. Nate’s losses are much more obvious than Sonia’s but not less real. Taking a chance is a big bold step for them both. In fact, Nate has decided to take a chance on a new job away from Flatiron Five Fitness. Sometimes what you really need and deserve it right in front of you.Just the Wrong Twin is a well developed story of found family, lost and recovery, PTSD, abuse and the changes brought by the pandemic. So many relevant issues but each is dealt with sensitivity and honesty. It is heartfelt, sweet but sexy look at surviving with grace and sometimes humor the difficult circumstances in life. Very current story that could be enjoyed even if one had not read the entire series. The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A great story that I couldn’t put down!
When two people who have had some really difficult challenges in their lives decide to hook up after a wedding, they both plan for a “one and done” night. But they find themselves drawn to each other, again and again, despite a fear of commitment on both their parts. Sonia is a yoga instructor at F5F who lacks self confidence after the horrors of her childhood but who is beginning to find her focus and her inborn strength. Nate has had physical challenges after a military career that have left him wary of engaging his heart again but he also has a strong protective streak, especially when it comes to Sonia. When they risk it all, they find that love is worth taking a chance. This story is timely, interestingly taking place during the Covid pandemic, so that affects everyone’s interactions. All the people at F5F are people who you would love to spend time with, people who care for and love each other. This was a great story that I couldn’t put down! A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

The chemistry sizzles.!
Just the Wrong Twin, the last book in the Flatiron Five contemporary romance series, is a culmination of so many stories set in the remarkable world of F5F. Sonia has been hiding a terrible secret which has shaped and controlled her life for many years. Nate has had to adjust to life without his hand and his fiancé. The two complex characters support each other as they come to terms with what their lives have become and the chemistry sizzles. The vivid characters and remarkably clever, page-gripping plot, made this a fast paced read that I had trouble putting down. Deb weaves family dynamics, relatable social issues, the Corona virus pandemic, romance, and an awesome cast of characters into a story that inspires and enthralls. It is a fitting end to the series that has made Deborah Cooke a best-selling author.
