Wow. Noisy but great results
We have a rug in the conservatory and one in the lounge that were looking a bit grubby after a few years of ownership. The stair carpet also the same - light colour, high traffic and probably not cleaned by previous owners. Thought at the price we'd give a cleaner a go. Didn't want a full size upright one as we have a corded Dyson and a Shark cordless for hoovering. After some research I decided for a portable spot cleaner the power was important in order to extract the liquid and dirt from the carpet/rug. This one has a 1100w motor compared to the 600w/700w of others I was looking at, and was approx £60 cheaper.Whilst the cleaner has a trigger that you can use to spray a fine mist on the carpet, and the implement has a rubber brush, I also used a normal spray bottle with a carpet cleaning solution, and a soft brush attachment for a cheap cordless drill I have. Spray the area well, then use the drill-brush to massage it into the carpet/rug, then do another spray-massage, then use the rubber brush on the implement to agitate before finally using the suction part to extract the liquid and dirt. This took longer overall but gave good results. This method means you can avoid using the spray feature on the device itself and not have to deal with a slightly cumbersome tank.We have used on stairs and 2 rugs - one is about 2.4 x 1.8m. We intend to use it on the carpet on the landing and part of the bedroom carpet where its a bit grubby. It does mean for a larger area there is a lot of time on hands and knees - for me I can handle that as it will only be a deep clean a couple of times a year, but consider this versus an upright if you intend to use it on a larger area.We found it really brightened up the carpets and rugs and given them a new lease of life. It would have been easy to throw the rug away and get a new one, but it would have been terribly wasteful especially when there is nothing wrong with it and an hour of time got it back to new.Pros:- The power cord wraps neatly around the back and the cleaning hose folds around the front to make a small footprint for storage.- It leaves the carpet/rug slightly damp. A few hours and its completely dry. It removes a lot of water/dirt - see photo of waste tank.- Only a single suction brush/implement that is fixed to the hose. No collection of different attachments to deal with. This single implement works fine.- Easy to transport with carry handle and a handle to wheel it around.- Gave great results on our rugs and stairs. Attached photo shows rug in progress. Bottom right is yet to be done, the light cream and green leaves were completely transformed from dull to vibrant.Cons- It is noisy. Its not whisper quiet by any stretch! Worth a pair of ear muffs or ear plugs for long use.- The tanks aren't the easiest to handle, would be nice if they had a handle. Its not impossible, but could be easier.- Although the clear tank holds a good amount, when spraying the carpet/rug it does go down quite quick.- There is a bit of a drip from where the spray comes out of so watch out for this. Not a constant dribble but drips a bit.- Air comes out of the back of the unit. On the photos on the product page it shows the back of the device up against the stair, so nowhere for the air to go and risk of overheating. So using it on stairs I had it side-on. Just watch it is balanced ok or keep hold of it!- For a large area you are on your hands and knees for a while.Am very happy we bought it and my only regret is that we didn't buy something like this 15 years ago!

Saved our deep pile white carpet numerous times
This little machine does a stellar job at cleaning up after pets and human spills. We moved into a house with super thick white carpets installed in the ground floor living space… on a working farm. Pretty soon we realised we needed a quicker way to spot clean or spend hours each day scrubbing and dabbing. After renting a RugDoctor for hire we decided to invest in this smaller spot treatment vacuum. It’s easy to use, simple to clean, and does the job well. The only thing I would change is to make the pipe a little more flexible as it’s finicky to get it wound into place for storage, not impossible but not something you succeed with in a rush. The rest of the unit is well designed and easy to use. We’ve been using it for 4 months so far with no leaking issues, as experienced by some other reviewers.

Love this brand but…
I’ve used this brand for a few years now but bought the smaller version for more spot stains. You can easily clean a carpet on your hands & knees. The quality of the clean is really good. It’s very loud when using it, which is not unusual with these cleaners. I had to clean alone so I would not upset the children/animals.My only issue is the when filling the detergent jug you can’t put it on a flat surface which means you need to hold it with the water in, and then attempt to pour in the detergent with one hand. Not well thought out! Could have done with a flat top, or a handle/However I would still buy it again!

Brilliant
I really like this mini cleaner for small spills and especially for the muddy dog paw marks I'm getting on the carpets with all the rain we've had recently, it's a lot easier than having to drag the big cleaner out. I leave this little one filled with solution and water so it's primed and ready, all I have to do then is is plug it in and clean the marks away, it's brilliant.
