Amazing budget monitor
I purchased this monitor for my wife as a second monitor in her home office, as well as a monitor to take with us when we travel. The monitor while it may not be the best on the market looks and functions very well. The shell of the monitor is the same quality as other more expensive Dell monitors.Obviously there are differences in specs compared to more expensive monitors, however this monitor is great for office work. It may not meet gaming standards, but my wife is not using it for gaming. The monitor ships in a very sturdy box and is packaged well. The only downside is it does ship in an exposed box, so if you are not able to be home when it's delivered it will be obvious that a Dell monitor is sitting on your porch. If porch pirates are an issue in your area it is something to keep in mind.

UPDATE - Great budget monitor - if you know how to adjust settings in menu . . .
UPDATE - Flickering issue. My excitement with this otherwise high quality monitor was premature. A very subtle flickering is going on. At first it seems perfect. But as you work and stare and glance down at your keyboard, you realize there is a subtle flickering going on - at all times. I tried switching out cables (both DP and HDMI) - no difference. Same flicker. Then I connected to a different computer - still flickering! So it's definitely the monitor - not the cables and not the computer. I'm returning it - which is a shame because I otherwise like this monitor and need a good 27" one - just without flicker! (Left it at 5 stars because I'm giving Dell the benefit of the doubt. I'm assuming I just got a dud. We'll see when I reorder . . . . )This is a great everyday monitor - but the screen settings it ships with are very bland. When you first plug it in and connect it up, you'll get a mediocre image. Go into the screen settings using the little buttons hidden on the underside of the front right edge of the monitor. Play around with the different choices and adjust brightness, contrast, RGB, mode, etc. until you get the bright crisp image you want. That's what I did and I'm very happy with the results. Plus the stand is great. It raises, lowers, tilts and swivels. Connections are good too - offering both HDMI and DP ports. All this for $170 is a darn good deal. Just be sure to adjust the image in settings after you set it up.

Nice and no glare.
I added an articulating arm, and this is a very nice monitor really like the fact there’s no glare and very, very thin bezel.

Good monitor non-gaming
Good quality for a "working" monitor. Rally need to be greater than 75Hz for gaming. But good color, brightness Solid. their new tiny buttons under the monitor is annoying making the menus harder to use

Buy of the century
For this price point, these two monitors elevated my office experience to new heights. I bought a pair and love them! I have made Dell the only choice for computer monitors for the reasons here. The monitor seen in the middle of the photo is also a Dell, purchased at a Salvation Army store for $9.99 five or more years ago, and still going strong. At my place of employment, we build remote video systems for our clients. Dell offers certain features that make it our preferred choice. Dell does some things a savvy buyer will appreciate, such as adjustable height mounts that are removed without tools by the touch of a button. This model has a high-def screen with plenty of brightness. Out of the box they were perfect as-is and I haven't had the urge to putz with the settings the way I tend to do. I went with 27" when 24" would have been a better fit on the desk, but glad I did. Old eyes! I highly recommend this monitor.

Nice IPS monitors for eyes that need bigger text without upscaling
Bought from Amazon 3 of these to replace some older Dell UltraSharp 24" 2415 and 2412M which are superb monitors and in rarer today 1920x1200 pixels resolution. The main reason being to get increased pixels and text for eye comfort. They do not disappoint.Couple of cons, minor:- No color calibration from factory like some UltraSharp models. I was able to obtain a calibration and image quality close to UltraSharp 2415 with bit of effort.- The stands wobble a bit. I installed my new S2721HS monitors using stands from old UltraSharp 2412 monitors which feel more stable however the original stands work as well and may be look better for some people. Some pros besides being excellent monitors overall:- Standard color gamut.- Once calibrated they have colors comparable with the mentioned Dell UltraSharp models.- 75 Hz refresh rate.- Analog brightness adjustment aka no flicker with brightness set less than maximum.
