Figure of 8 Dog Lead - Anti Pull Stop Dogs Pulling - Rope Slip Leads with Padded Nose Support (Medium/Large) Black

I had literally never heard of these leads until 2 days ago. I have an American Bulldog and Staff cross. Both 6 months old. They walk no bother if out by themselves, however when out together they pull me up the street and constantly pull. I put this lead on my bulldog and it stopped pulling instantly and walks to heel. It was a bit freaked out with it at first but got over it quickly. I plan to train them with this so hopefully they can go back on normal leads. All in all I defo recommend , was delivered next day as well

I honestly can't believe what a game changer this is! I've finally found a lead that is easy to put on, comfortable for my cocker spaniel and makes walking pleasurable! It literally worked instantly! He usually drags me down the street but with this figure of 8 lead, I was able to hold the lead loosely in my hand. Fantastic product! Thank you! I got the medium/large one so he can move away to trees etc when I want him to.

Brilliant! I have been training dogs for well over 50 years. In May, we got a 9 month old rescue called Coda (now 15 months). She's a cross breed collie, we think! And she pulls for England. We have tried leads, half check collars, slip leads, haltis - you name it. We've had varying success but she just pulls and tugs to eat chunks of grass or see other dogs, sometimes nearly tripping me up by the kerbside. The Total Pet lead has had an instant effect. Her attention is now fully on me and the slightest correction is enough if she tries to pull. Simply brilliant. I would have given 5 stars but for a small criticism. There is a figure 8 metal buckle that sits under the chin. This has one side with some slightly sharp "fins" that point towards the under side of Coda's chin. It can't be turned round but I feel it should be attached the other way round so as not to dig in. In any case, I think this should have some soft padding to prevent discomfort. I want Coda to willingly obey through persuasion rather than any discomfort. But she seems comfortable enough and I would strongly recommend this lead to others. Many thanks. The short answer it works!!! I have a dog that is reactive to other dogs and the odd squirrel, not anymore. When I used the lead for the first time what a change in the dog. No pulling, no reactions to other dogs, I was enjoying walking the dog again. He wasn’t perfect but to see the difference was amazing. I have tried other methods to stop pulling and reacting but this lead was a game changer. The quality is very good, if I was to have a concern it would be the rubber grommet that secures the loop might erode over time and not tighten the tension on the lead. The safety link is a great addition. My dog slipped the lead the first time I used it (my fault for not securing the loop under his chin properly) but he was still in my control. I can’t recommend this lead highly enough. Hassle free dog walks.

I bought the Total Pet Figure of 8 Dog Lead (Medium/Large, Black) for my Labrador, and it has been amazing. My dog used to pull a lot on walks, but with this lead he’s no longer pulling and now walks beautifully beside me. The padded nose support is comfortable for him, and the rope feels strong and secure. Thank you to the seller for a great product and fast service our walks are so much more enjoyable now. I absolutely loved the concept of the lead and it worked really well in theory, however, after 3 uses the rope started to fray at the section that sits at the back of the head. It looks to be where the metal loop rubs against the rope as it tightens and loosens. There wasn't any padding on the handle which made it uncomfortable to hold for long walks. I loved the thickness of the lead and had great control over my dog but it would benefit from having an extra control handle further down the lead. I have returned this for a refund and would consider buying again if there were improvements. I have two spaniels for reference.

Well what can I say but I’m totally amazed . What an amazing product . I have a 44Kg boxer dog who pulls all the time and hurts my shoulder and my husbands shoulder all the time . When I first put it in she just looked at me , but she loves a walk does Betty , so she trotted off, and she did not pull once . The most amazing lead I have bought and believe me I have bought a lot . All I can say is Betty will be goi g on a lot more walks and we will be actually be walking her through the town now as she does lunges at anyone . Thank you so much x

This is a game changer we have a very strong male cocker spaniel who loves to pull the entire walk. Trying to hold him and walk with my 3yr old is impossible but now after one walk on the new lead he walks to heal never pulls and finally is a pleasure to walk. It’s like Uve gained the best behaved dog and cannot wait to walk him now rather than dealing with a disjointed back each time. I love the extra clip to keep him safe, my only criticism is that it would have been great to have the clip each end rather than looping it through as I’m worried I might loose that part when I let him off the lead not that it’s a drama as I just take it off him. Fit for purpose, if ur fed up of being walked by ur dog and want an easy, chilled out stroll BUY THIS 🐶

I used this on my 22kg Staffy and it works better than a traditional Halti because of the combination of slip lead and figure 8 halti. Actually, it is just fantastic. I am going to try on my 50kg mastiff cross and if it works will buy another one (currently using a prong collar). Not only the design works on dogs that pull, the product is solid and sturdy- great quality.

Works quite well on my Golden Retriever but the length of the lead is a bit too small. I'm practically tripping over him whilst walking. I have added another lead on via the handle to make it easier. Good quality product though.
