Q: is there anywway to soften this shirt? firm is one thing but these are like plywood …

I've worn Wrangler denim shirts all my life, but stopped for a couple decades and wore suits. Just ordered a denim for old time sakes. Believe mine were made in US. They were always stiff when new, but weren't, uh, nipple-chafers and softened up quickly after a few washes. I read the reviews after buying: "It may have some value as a bomb blanket or to provide shelter in the event of a direct nuclear strike" My goodness. I'm wondering if the color shirts might offer ballistic protection if left unwashed. As a long-time Wrangler buyer (off hiatus) I'll review my offshore denim shirt when I get it.

Q: Is it good for welding

As with all shirts, depends on type welding and whether you use welding sleeves. They go a long way in protecting the shirt sleeve. Otherwise, if it is stick welding, your brace arm will have freckle burns on the sleeve. These are good shirts, I have worn them for decades. They were part of what I considered my basic work uniform along with the Wrangler jeans, and Red Wing Boots

Q: 6'3" 200 lbs anyone recomend size? I bought 2 different styl large wranglers and both way too small.

2X LT. I'm 6'4", 270#. These are great shirts. Stiff a first, wash 'em cold. After breaking them in, iron them and they are proud yet humble as ever. Tuck' em in to a pair of Wrangler Indigo 13MWZ Original Cowboy Cut, nice boots and you'll attract your cowgirl like a bee to honey.

Q: Im looking for this shirt in a 3xlt or maybe a 4xtl if it shrinks, does any know what size that might be i cant seem to figure out the size charts.

I'm wearing 2xl but this shirt was big for me.I prefer the smaller one.

Amazing Wrangler Shirt! Worth the money!

Loved this shirt! I ordered this for my husband for family photos. It arrived a little stiff but it’s definitely a nice quality, thick material. The style and fit were perfect. He’s 6’5” and 190lbs and it fit great. It’s heavy duty and a really nice shirt overall. Definitely worth the price!

Wrangler FIRM FINISH Shirts

Wrangler FIRM FINISH Shirts...I own about a dozen of these shirts. As a welder, these shirts hold up to the heat and heavy work I perform. Firm finish keeps me from needing FR clothing. Don't use fabric softener. My shirts must be washed in hot water due to soiling at work. I watch for sales and Amazon is the best place to purchase. I rarely can find firm finish anywhere else. For welders, they're great! And snaps are necessary because button threads burn and fall off.

Terrible Shirt, poor quality, material feels like cancas

I bought two sets of four of these shirts. One set in large, and one set in medium. The large shirts are dramatically too large. The medium are smaller that an American medium. So much, that since they are poorly made, 100% cotton ( which feels like canvas), when washed, the medium will be too small and even the large shoulders will not fit. Honestly, in several decades of buying products through Amazon, this purchase was the worst, cheapest, clothing from/ through Amazon I have ever experienced. DO NOT BUY THESE SHIRTS. Even the buttonholes are miss sized so that you simply cannot button the collar because the button holes are too small…… And Wrangler ought to be ashamed at the lack of quality of this product using their name. All are being returned as unusable
