Why did you pick this product vs others?:This stuff was so much fun with my granddaughter. It’s solid and squishy at the same time! It’s the weirdest stuff but she had so much fun playing with it and it was almost 95% mess free. I just got a big disposable pan with a lid and we played on the floor in the kitchen on day while it was raining. It did not cling to her hands and stuff like regular sand. Plus she loved how the colors mixed and made new colors! I even enjoyed playing with it!

Love the no mess, and kids loved the colors. Great way to spend time inside on a rainy day.

I bought this for my grands, and they LOVE it! They are 2 1/2 and 4. Your kids need to be past the “putting everything in my mouth” phase, because the colors are so vibrant they have to taste great too, right?!The colors are very vibrant and bright. The sand doesn’t stick to you unless it’s compressed (I.e. sitting in it), and will stain light colored clothing if you’re sitting in/on it. I wouldn’t recommend using it to fill a sit-in sand pit for those reasons, but if you don’t care about staining (put them in old clothes.) Just playing with the sand, using plastic or metal forms or just your hands you will see how calming and fun this sand can be. The colors will mix together eventually but at first it makes beautiful rainbow type patterns. When the sand is completely mixed with the other colors here, the color is quite blah (kind of a dark pink color) but the quality of the sand remains the same!My only problem was keeping the sand in the container and covering it so it didn’t dry out. If it dries out you can still use it but it looses the unique kinetic property. If the kids don’t understand they can’t run around the yard with the sand in their hands or move it to the grass to play then you might want to wait to buy this when they are older. Luckily the sand isn’t terribly expensive so replacing it regularly isn’t a big deal for me. If the cost is more significant to you then you should stress putting/storing/playing with the sand in a big, sealable container so it lasts longer.
