Joshua in a Troubled World: A Story for Our Time

A beautiful story of love and peace. As with other Joshua novels, it is hard to put it down once you begin.

Just what my sister wanted, at a reasonable price.

I thoroughly enjoyed the content and message of this book. If all people could be open to peace and respect for others, our world would be a much better place for all of us!

I have read all the Joshua Series and still feel the 1st one was the best. Actually, this latest book was my least favorite. It did make me question the government wisdom and the paranoid fear generated by how people in general profile others because of religion and terrorist acts. Even though this is fiction, IT seems to me that the author profiles CIA mentality which is what the message it trying to get people to stop doing. Author Grizone seems to spend a lot of text with unnecessary discription, almost as if he were trying to fill up pages. This issue didn't keep me anxiously waiting Joshua's next move but rather had me waiting to move on to the next stage of the plot. If this was the 1st of a "Joshua" series, I believe that Mr Grizone would not have had the following he has today.Since I enjoyed the others, if he wrote another in the series I would probably read it. I guess it's kind of like Microsoft...just because they came up with really bad operating systems like ME and Vista, that doesn't mean that I am going to give up on the computer. Have not read it yet ... not sure of violence or sexual content but Joseph Girzone is a pastor so I doubt that it would include this content..... if it is good as the others it will be a 4 or 5 star rating

It was a good book - but I didn't find it quite as engaging as the other "Joshua" books, in the series. I love the idea for peace. Wish we could make that work in the real world. Definitely worth a read.

Words simply fail. Father Joseph has what can only be described as a brilliant and God-Given talent for penning fictional yet incredibly believable tales of Jesus's life on this earth as He walked among us. Our small weekly bible group started reading these books some time back and I can honestly say it has since become the cornerstone of our discussions. These "stories" of Joshua has changed each one of us, deepened our relationships with God, healed our tunnel vision on so many aspects of life, attitudes, beliefs, doctrine, relationships, etc, etc - the list is honestly endless. If you do not read this series of books, nothing bad will happen to you. Your life will just be so much poorer and empty. God Bless you, Father Joseph. The whole series is amazing - brings new life to the life of Christ without dipping into sentimentality. Read them all.
