If you struggle with getting suppositories farther up this is the solution. I had an issue with capsules not going further up on some days due to cervix being tight. Somedays capsules melt while insertion. The edges are very convenient on these applicators and what used to take 15mins now takes less than 2 mins. Definitely worth a try if you have trouble inserting the progesterone capsule.

My wife's prescription was changed from the expensive 100mg Endometrin® that included applicators to a 200mg generic Prometrium that was just pills. Since it can be a challenge to effectively use suppository drugs without an applicator, we knew we needed to get some that would work with the pills prescribed. My wife was very impressed by the quality of these applicators, noticing the pill fitting in perfectly with a good grip, the smooth surface of the applicator for comfortable use, a good textured grip at the other end for handling, and a plunger that allows for easy application of the pill after insertion. I've already ordered these on repeat for the next several weeks after seeing the quality.

Fits "Most" suppositories. Yes indeed. The Prep H suppositories are a tight fit but they will fit with a bit of persuasion. Makes things a lot easier to put the suppository where it needs to go.

Purchased for use with Bonafide Revaree. One must position them upside down for insertion, which is not ideal, but does work. The applicators are not sharp or uncomfortable and that is what is most important. Will purchase again as they are adequate.

If you have difficulty using a rectal suppository- this sure doesn’t help. Maybe inserting into someone else’s rump; but impossible using on yourself. The length of the product is way too long to enable aiming it correctly to hit the “bulls eye” If I had arms the length of an orangutan, I wouldn’t need the device would I now! If a person has hemorrhoids, it’s not like there’s a straight shot in. This just added stress to an already stressful situation. Plus- the gripping ridges should go around the circumference of the “plunger” to offer a grip. Maybe the male engineer needs to take a look at a tampon applicator. If this review is way too much TMI, oh well. If it helps somewhat else who is having a miserable go of it- good. I will not attach any photos. No one needs to see that!!!

I’ve now tried this pack and the other well known brand on Amazon. The only 2 popular ones listed for rectal use. These are promoted as being made to hold most typical suppositories but I beg to differ. I actually like the fact these are more slender than their rival because they’re more comfortable to use. However the opening is just a bit too small. I was prescribed a very typical suppository, and they justify ihhhdon’t go in the applicator easy. Instructions say it will fit suppositories larger then the opening and technically that’s true but you have to try and gently twist and press it in. The recommend using a water based lubricant if difficult. The suppository ends up having a bunch shaved off to make it fit and having to handle it so long starts to compromise it making it break in half. It’s also more difficult to administer once you have the suppository crammed down in the applicator like that. I don’t know about you but I had to shell out $115 for my meds. I can’t afford to loose a bunch of the shavings or have them breaking. I really wanted to like these and I live that they’re thinner and easier to manage because of it but the opening is just a tad too small for the typical suppository.

It took 4 tries to find a disposable applicator for my progesterone 200mg capsule suppositories that not only fit the suppository, but is also not flimsy, short, or sharp, and these are PERFECT!!

I am 17 weeks pregnant and found to be having complications. My docter has started me on progesterone vaginally until I am 36 weeks. I was advised on using my finger to insert the pill but I was fearful of infection. These applicators have not only made it so easy and safe to insert the pill it has also given me peace of mind that I am inserting it at the right depth to make sure THIS baby survives. I had a loss at 19 weeks gestation 2 years ago. I am determined to do whatever we have to get this baby home. These applicators are a crucial tool for me to make that happen. I am very pleased. Thank you. Anywho, about the product. I like that each applicator is individually wrapped and easy to access in a clear useable plastic pouch. I love that Amazon offers to have this automatically mailed every month, it is one less thing I have to worry about. The shaft of the applicator is smooth until a point where you will find elevated lines to let you know to stop inserting. The inner tube is not hard to push down and makes it so easy medicate yourself. Once I get to big to insert it myself I am confident my husband will be able to take over cause it's so easy to use. I haven't needed to use a lubricant as pregnancy takes care of that but if using these applicators for anything else lube mught be needed I just reccomend using a small amount as the tube really is very smooth.
