Our folding fan has four kinds of design with different paintings: 1. Night Mooring at Maple Bridge It is a poem written by ZHANG Ji, a famous poet in Tang Dynasty, when he passed by Hanshan Temple. It is depicted in the poem the scenes of the setting of the moon, the cawing of a crow, frigid night with frost, maples along the river, fire of the fisher, and the single boat and the lone passenger. The poet expresses the concern and anxiety of the poet for the country and the people in war. Now, Hanshan Temple has been a famous favorite spot for the tourists because of this poet. 2. Peony Peony has once been esteemed as the national flower at the late Qing Dynasty. It is highly regarded as the Queen of the flowers due to the charming and beautiful flowers. It stands for nobility and wealth. It has been cultivated for more than 1500 years and now has been planted all over the world. 3. Plum, Orchid, Bamboo, and Chrysanthemum These fours have been esteemed as Four Gentlemen among flowers. They stand for the quality of perseverance, self-cultivation, firmness, and simplicity respectively. The poets like to make use of these fours to express their feelings in their works. 4. Along the River During the Qingming Festival It is one of the ten most famous Chinese paintings that have been popular and renowned all over the world. This is the masterpiece of Chinese artist Zhang Zeduan, Northern Song Dynasty. It portrays the prosper scene and the social life of people from every social status in Bianjing City of Song Dynasty. It witnesses the prosperity of the dynasty. This painting has been so precious that it is regarded as the national treasure.
