KwiksetTylo Bed/Bath Knob in Polished Brass

Our old doorknob broke when someone didn't understand how to unlock it from the outside. The old knob's faceplate said "Kwikset" but many parts were cheap or plastic. But since I knew it would fit, I sought the identical knob.I was pleasantly surprised that this knob is mechanically superior to the one it replaces. No cheap plastic parts at all-- all metal, good thickness. And it comes with 3 different mounting options. I suspect the old one was a "knock off".It just arrived today, and I had it installed in minutes, and it works perfectly.

Gets the job done and easy to assemble if you do it carefully but if not it is extremely frustrating. Personally a bought this to replace my bedroom door knob and one problem that arose is that it was wobbly and when I went to tighten it, it would "unhook" so to speak. I found that the key to avoiding this was that you have to tighten "just-so". Don't try to make it super tight and leave it when you feel some resistant other wise it unhooks and you have to do it all over again. As for the wobbling nothing a little hot glue couldn't fix. You get what you pay for I suppose.

I recently changed out all of my old bed and bath doorknobs with these. They are easy to install and work well. The price is good for the quality of the mechanism!!!

This knob is a pretty standard, reasonable quality knob for a door. I bought it here because it was the same type my landlord uses on the door, but the knob it was replacing wasn't technically broken, so they didn't want to replace it themselves.It looks quite respectable from afar.Installation ease is the only reason I docked a star. The directions are a bit difficult to use, and it took around half an hour to do it, since I had never installed one of these before, and the plate on the door frame didn't line up exactly with the one it was replacing. Otherwise the process was pretty easy.This comes in a box, not in the awful plastic packaging that you'd see in your local home supply store. Overall, a very solid and reasonable choice for a knob replacement.

I only use this type of lock in my home and i am familiar with the product and instillation so i was disappointed to see that according to the box it was my correct order for closet door lock but when opened the box it was another style with a lock . Because i needed it immediately i had to use it but it did not fit together well and i believe was damaged. I was forced to go out and purchase another. It was not worth effort to return but i will not buy from this vendor again.

Package arrived right on schedule as usual from Amazon. Replaced the old with the new in very little time. Complete with everything included. Plan on purchasing more for the other worn door knobs. Price is right and so is the description and product.

It's nice that I can spend a few bucks, and get basically the exact same doorknob that was added to our bathroom door unknown decades ago. The old one stopped locking, and this was a perfect replacement. It was easy to swap out the pieces (they haven't changed much), and there were even a few little niceties to make installation easier than it used to be. You can now, for example, leave the long screws (that connect the two knobs) threaded, and you can push and twist to get the screw heads through the outer knob. It's a small thing, but it prevents the awkward state where you're trying to hold both knobs and thread a screw.TL;DR: This knob hasn't changed much in decades, so it's easy to replace an old one that's not working like it used to.

The internal metal for the door knob was to weak to hold the two sides together. After screwing in the screws connecting both sides of the knob the metal holding one side gave. I had to use washers to rig the knob to the door. *minus having pictures that is the best I can explain the issue.
