My Son actually recommended this laptop stand to me; I was a bit dubious as my previous stand had proved to be very flimsy being made of plastic & failed very quickly. When I opened the box, I could immediately see that this laptop / iPad Stand was a much more substantial product being made of metal. Despite being of metallic (Aluminium alloy) construction it is light enough to carry in my brief case or painting bag. As an added bonus it does look good.The joints of the hinges are tight enough to ensure the stand remains at the same angle even with a larger laptop. The joints can be tightened using an Allen key if they were ever to loosen. It is very versatile as the backplate can be extended by sliding out making it stable when using a larger laptop.The backplate has many holes & slots allowing adequate air flow to prevent a laptop from overheating When transporting it can be folded into a small profile, I will use the original box to transport it as that will give protection to the stand which has a stylish appearance, so I want to keep it in pristine condition.It works well with my 15-inch laptop as the stand is infinitely adjustableAn added bonus for me is as I am an amateur artist, I can have a photograph of the scene I am painting on the screen of my laptop or iPad. Previously I either had to use books behind the raised painting if using my iPad, & I would also have to prop it up, or have them to one side, which actually is not as useful. Having a photo directly in front of you is much better to help one make a more realistic rendition of your painting.You also receive a phone stand that is only of plastic construction but is adequate it would be much better if it was of the same construction as the main stand which of course would make it more expensive so I see it as a freebie so it’s OKI have recommended this stand to many members of our Art Group both for its nominal use as well as extended uses I have mentioned but I bet there are many more uses, just think outside the box.I do not have Amazon Prime but I was amazed how quickly it was delivered in fact within 48 hours & at the weekendAnyone requiring a sturdy yet lightweight stand I would certainly recommend this one.

Since receiving this product I looked at other, uses other than in a traditional home office environment - which it far exceeded my initial expectations.On a desk it is easily adjustable and elevates the whole laptop, therefore increasing overall desk space. My previous stand simply angled the laptop, so I had to place the stand on books or reams of paper to gain the height required. This is not the case with this product.As a keen cyclist I am always looking to improve the entertainment set-up whilst on the indoor turbo trainer. Having seen how sturdy this stand was, I wondered if it could replace my current set-up of placing the laptop on books. As you can see by the pictures attached this product is absolutely ideal and raises the screen above the IPad I use for Zwift, so I can watch movies or box-sets whilst training. As the laptop is on a separate Wahoo stand it is perfectly stable and there is no fear of it being dislodged. The additional bonus is the stand now has more space for my towel, drinks bottle and energy snacks, which previously had to be crammed next to the books elevating the laptop. A great addition to my training platform and one which will be extensively used.I am extremely impressed with the flexibility of the stand and you can manoeuvre it in to any angle and height you require. The hinges hold the laptop securely and can be tightened by an Allen key if they were to work lose. My previous stands did not have this facility and once the hinges loosened there was nothing which could be done, rendering them useless.In addition to the main laptop/iPad Stand, there is also a smaller stand for phones or a smaller tablet. This is a lovely additional item and compliments the main stand perfectly.I would highly recommend this stand to anyone requiring a sturdy yet lightweight item and it can be used around the house for multiple uses.

I ordered this Laptop stand to use whilst working from home, so I could adjust the height and angle to ensure my working position was set up correctly.The Instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the stand itself required no assembly.Adjusting the stand to the required position is straight forward and it offers a great deal of resistance when adjusting, it immediately instils confidence that the weight of a laptop will be an easy task for it.The stand holds my MacBook air at all angles, as well as flat, and the elevation is perfect.I have had my MacBook on it all day, using both keyboard and trackpad whilst angled and elevated without it budging at all. Absolutely solid.Made of brushed aluminium it is very well made and studier than anything else I have used in this price range. It matches the finish of the MacBook well.Included within the box was a mobile phone holder that works very well, this is made of plastic with a piece of gripper material to provide an anti-slip platform for a phone. The mobile phone in the photo is a Samsung Galaxy 10.I would highly recommend this laptop stand and I can honestly find no faults with it at all.

Looks good, sturdy solid feeling.Going to order another one for the other laptop
