Easy to set time and alarm

My wife has a low vision problem. They work great for her. We now have one in each of 5 rooms.

I like this talking clock because it has multiple volume levels. It is not always excessively loud like most of the other garbage alternatives. It also lacks the "The time is" prefix which is unnecessary. My only hope is that it keeps correct time. Even if it doesn't, it's very easy to set the time in this clock.

I couldn't understand the time spoken by the clock for all hours and minutes. Some were clearer than others. Would not recommend.

I do not recall how I stumbled upon this product but I had to have one as it brought back pleasant childhood memories. I had one growing up that was quite similar. This one is a little different in that it has three alarm choices (standard alarm beep, an odd "hoo-ha" sound, and the classic rooster crow that was on the one I had years ago). Aside from that, it has a simple button on top you press to hear the time ("it's 4:15 PM" is the format it announces the time in). To snooze the alarm, simply press the button, to shut off alarm completely, you have to pick it up and press the HR button on the bottom. I appreciate this as it makes me have to get moving to shut it off which encourages me go get out of bed instead of simply slapping the snooze button.

The product fails to deliver as promised. We are unable to hear the product. It sounds muffled.

A friend gave me one of these over ten years ago that they'd had for many years before that. It recently quit working. I was amazed to see them available on Amazon. This looked like the old "Talking Alarm Clock" with a new logo (Tel-Time). Oddly it came in a box that clearly pictures the old "Talking Alarm Clock" logo. Anyway....I didn't trust the other reviews and should have. The sound quality is terrible compared to my old one. I don't know what they did to the speaker, but even at the loudest setting it is a a very muffled and distorted sounding device. With all the tech advancements in the last 30 years since this was originally made, I COMPLETELY expected a much better product than this. As they say, "Buyer beware."
