Eczema friendly
Vanicream Shampoo and Conditioner have been a game-changer for my sensitive scalp and hair. Both products are incredibly gentle, free from harsh ingredients like fragrances, dyes, and parabens, making them perfect for anyone with allergies or sensitive skin. Despite being free of irritants, the shampoo cleans my hair thoroughly without stripping it of moisture, and the conditioner leaves my hair soft and manageable without feeling greasy or heavy. After using them for a few weeks, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my scalp’s health—no more itchiness or dryness! My hair also feels healthier and looks shinier. It’s great for daily use, and both products rinse out easily, leaving no residue behind. If you’re looking for a mild, dermatologist-recommended shampoo and conditioner duo that still gets the job done, Vanicream is a must-try. Highly recommend it for those with sensitive skin or anyone wanting a simple, clean hair care routine!

Perfect for Me
I have extremely sensitive skin that reacts to nearly everything and sometimes to even nothing. I also have eczema, psoriasis, allergies and asthma. This makes anything with a scent very difficult to use.Per my dermatologist I have switched to everything unscented Vanicream. At first I only switched to their body washes, lotions/creams, facial cleanser, facial moisturizer, and sunscreen. The only product I still used with any scent was my shampoo and conditioner. The dermatologist told me I needed to switch to Vanicream unscented shampoo and conditioner as even the very light fragrances of my old hair products was aggravating my asthma.I'm so glad I made the switch. I naturally have dry skin and hair. This shampoo gets my hair very clean and the conditioner doesn't weigh heavy on my thin and fine hair. Sometimes when I'm in a hurry I will use shampoo and skip the conditioner which I know we aren't supposed to do anyway. I will say one day I skipped the conditioner after shampooing and my hair did feel a little extra dry. The next day I used the conditioner after shampooing and my hair felt less dry, manageable, and back to the level of dryness that it always is no matter what I use.I highly recommend this Vanicream shampoo and conditioner. It gets my hair very clean and the conditioner works well. I definitely can't skip the conditioner though.I will add that my cousin has very oily hair and she refuses to use conditioner. Her hair usually looks greasy by the end of the day at the roots and about three inches down after shampooing in the morning. She tried this in my shower and did not use the conditioner. Her hair looked perfectly clean and not greasy at all. She was able to skip two full days of washing her hair before she needed to wash it again so she was very pleased and got her own Vanicream shampoo which she is now using.

Great shampoo for sensitive skin dermatologist recommended
This has no smell which is the price you pay when you are allergic to every shampoo on the market. My dermatologist recommended this product for my sensitive scalp. It works well, lathers well, does not break me out. It does not dry out my hair or seem to be greasy. I like it. I would love it with some scent but yet again it is the price you pay......

UPDATE>>>>>>>>I have Lupus and terrible skin sensitivities which can cause hives, sores, rashes and welts, which can lead to infections. Not fun. I have had to experiment for years but, have found these tips work for me.....F&C Shampoo, F&G Cream Rinse and F&G Hair Gel are perfect for people with allergies to just about anything and everything. The shampoo does clean so well it strips the natural oils from the hair so if you have dry, brittle and/or natural curly, frizzie hair add a small amount of the conditioner to the shampoo before lathering. You can also add a small amount of organic olive oil to the creme rinse if you have frizzy and/or dry hair. It tames the frizziest hair as well as leaving it very shiny. Adding abit of hair Gel helps keep it calm whilst you dry it, and then syle it, or let it air dry naturally. (My preference).About 3 years ago I discovered the combo of the conditioner, organic olive oil, and a bit of the Clear Hairstyling Gel all mixed together and massaged into my hair, left on for a few minutes then gently rinsed, leaving just a small residue really helps with the frizzies, dry, unmanageable hair.ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Massaging your hair gently with a small amount of organic olive oil, leave on for a few minutes, and then a gentle rinse will help with breakage and with loss. If you do this every 2 weeks it should help with breakage due to brittle hair, and give you a stronger shaft of hair.I have Lupus and terrible skin sensitivities which can cause hives, sores, rashes and welts. Not fun. I have had to experiment for years. But, I find if I use pure products from washing clothing, towels and sheets all separately and use washing: (Method, unscented), to drying: (unscented, unscented, chemical free) see: [...], therefore I use Seventh Generation Free and Clear Sheets in the dryer.I never mix articles like sheets with towels, or rougher fabrics with softer materials. (It will pill your softer materials and make then feel rough on the skin, especially sheets).I look for pure cotton materials for clothing, only. Doesn't have to be organic as long as they are ALWAYS prewashed prior to wearing. For sheets I do use a microfibre polyester, (I know, I know, but its softness is beyond anything I have found after going thru dozens of brands and styles of cotton sheets), and because I have blistering allergies to latex and all its little minions I can wear only latex free socks like Buster Browns.I use most of the F&C products but do not care for the skin cream. It gives me a rash. But them again, other than organic olive oil, which is a simple single natural ingredient, I have not found a single skin cream. to which my skin does not react, so I hope this helps anyone else out there with Lupus, or other immune diseases, and/or hyper sensitive skin.
