Biblical antidote to populate teaching, but is it compassionate?
This book seeks to explain that grounds for divorce proposed as acceptable by some may not, in fact, be allowed by the Bible; it recognises adultery as the only Biblical ground for divorce. In other cases it allows for separation, but the parties should remain celebrate; it would constrain future relationships to avoid adultery.Marriage break up is always sad - a couple are 'glued' to each other and pulling apart is bound to be difficult. Additional grounds for divorce have been accpeted on grounds of compassion. While being an accurate interpretation of various verses, the graces of mercy and compassion may not have received due emphasis. It's interesting the author states that he has not fully read the book he is taking to task!
