MAGNET ALNICO BAR 6 INCH

This is a fairly strong, chunky Alnico bar magnet with north and south pole markings cast into their respective ends. The bar is bare metal with a machined finish. Great shape and size for playing with or doing basic physics experiments. Worth the money.

As many of the other reviews have stated, this magnet has very little magnetic force. It does not have the strength to hold its own weight. This product is so bad its not suitable even as a novelty and Amazon should discontinue its sale. Its only use I have found is a paper weight or something I leave at the bottom of my toolbox to gather small metal fragments and fasteners. If you need REAL magnets try Apex magnets. Do NOT buy this product.

Ordered this magnet for a science fair and it was exactly what we needed. Strong enough for science experiments and a great size and shape for the kids to use.

What a HUGE disappointment, this magnet is something you would find at the dollar store! The magnet is no stronger than a cheap magnet that could be found on any dime store gadgety thing-ma-bob you would stick on your fridge to hold up your children's school work accomplishments! JUNK! RDunkin
