Review: The Adventure Begins Review - An Excellent Thomas Movie. This movie is the 2nd best Thomas Movie. All characters got a nice introduction in the movie. Edward and Gordon get a nice intro and their relationship is good. James gets a nice intro with a great black livery, Annie and Clarabel get a nice intro before becoming Thomas' coaches, and speaking of Thomas, he's a got a nice intro with a nice green LBSC livery. The stories are retold from season 1 in this order in the movie, Edward and Gordon, The Sad Story of Henry, Thomas and Gordon, Thomas' Train, Thomas and the Trucks and finally Thomas and the Breakdown train. The only flaw is that Henry was not in his old shape or his old personality. Henry is still a worrier and he does not have his old shape. The animators made James Black, Thomas Green, but not Henry in his old shape. Also the runaway and crash from James is awesome! and the songs Really Useful Engine and Troublesome Trucks are great! Nice to see Judy and Jerome (the breakdown train) and Glynn the coffeepot engine is cool as well. This is a perfect movie for someone who has not seen Thomas before. Overall 2nd Best Thomas Movie! An Excellent Thomas Movie. This movie is the 2nd best Thomas Movie. All characters got a nice introduction in the movie. Edward and Gordon get a nice intro and their relationship is good. Thomas from the Beginning
Our four year old grandson is quite taken with every type of vehicle known to man. Thomas the Tank Engine is no exception! The nice thing about this DVD is that it introduces all the favorite characters seen in the PBS series, other DVDs, and in books. This came on April 19th and our grandson and his twin sister have already watched it three times here at our home. It has become their "quiet time"... relaxing with beloved characters easily recognized by young children. Before their mother picks them up, they need to wind down from the day's activities and this is a reassuringly good way to do just that.
