CrossCalais Refillable Ballpoint Pen Presented in a Luxury Gift Box - Medium Point, Black Ink, Matte Black

So I do like the way this pen writes. The ink flows nice. It writes smooth with no skipping. I bought the refills with it also because I have a hard time finding refills for pens unless I know the exact name of pen. The design is simply pretty. It is not a click pen. One must turn the bottom of the pen to use. It's a good value for the money. I have only one small very minor complaint. I have a planner that I use daily and it has a place for me to put a pen through a loop. The clip on the pen is very tight. I suppose this is a good thing for some people but it's hard for me to get pen out of the loop on my planner. That being said, that's not a deal breaker for me.

This is a really nice pen. Really nice weight and heft, and the lines are very pleasing.Uses the standard "Cross" style refills, so you can find all sorts of colors and tip sizes.I think this would make a really nice gift.

If there is one thing that's a must for my wife, it is having a pen she can count on. It has to look classy, feel good in the hand, write easily with skips or smudges, and be built to last. The Cross Calais is all of those things. It comes packaged in a handsome box and can be engraved if you want to spend a little more, making it ideal for gift giving. It has a higher price point than some other more basic pens that write really well too, but it should last a lifetime and is actually quite a bit less than many high end writing instruments.The satin chrome finish feels good in the hand as does the wide barrel -- allowing for more effortless writing. The satin has a bit of tooth to it and diminishes the appearance of finger prints. The nib pops out with a twist and stays put until purposely retracted. Wonderful writing pen. Cross is one of my favorite brand of writing instruments. The only negative factor about this purchase was that the ink ran out within a couple of days.

Pen writes very nicely and has good balance

Love this pen. It has a nice weight and thickness to it to adds to the writing experience. I have two because I love writing with them so much.
