Awesome project for kids or even homeschool
We got this to grow ladybugs for our vegetable garden. My daughter wanted to plant a garden this year so we planted our seeds and got this lady bug tank that arrived a couple days later. It was perfect timing because the lady bug larvae took a couple weeks to turn into lady bugs and it gave our seeds time to sprout and get about a foot tall. Then we released the lady bugs into our garden. We got to learn about a garden and how to care for it at the same time learning about the cycle of these beetles and how they protect our garden from other pests. Was so much fun. It even came with a journal that has activities inside we were able to do together. Now we have our lady bug land and can clean it out and get larvae and repeat the process. We received 15 larvae and all 15 turned to lady bugs. Definitely recommend. My kids loved it and I did too.

Easy and successful!
This was our first time purchasing the ladybug land with live ladybug larva and we will 100% be repeat customers! We didnโt have success with caterpillars last year but these ladybugs were a different story. The whole process is so easy, just open the lid, pour in the contents of the tube included, use the included dropper to and water and just watch and wait! We had 10 of 10 larvae become adult ladybugs! The paper resources that come with the kit were also so helpful and perfect for my kindergarteners.

Worth it
This was so fun to do as a unit study with my kids for school as we are a homeschooling family. It was easy to assemble, functioned as it should and the education it brought as a hands on tool so exciting. It was so beautiful to watch how the lady bugs grew and to release them when it was time. It is very well made very durable and worth the money

Kit failed & there's not enough included food
My small children do the butterfly kits from this company every year and we love them. This year we wanted to try the ladybugs. Unfortunately, it's not going well. Larvae arrived in great shape but before pupating the food began to run out. We followed all of the directions but lost ALL of our ladybugs, except one, shortly into their pupal stage. My daughter was distraught and we opted to release our single survivor to the yard before it'd fully matured. We feel like awful ladybug serial killers after this experience! Definitely proceed with caution
