ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars, Fudge Graham/Chocolate Peanut Butter Combo. 1.76 OZ, 24 Bars

Zone Bars are my go-to pick-me-up. I appreciate the sensible balance of nutrients and the modest calorie count (only 210). I haven't tried flavors other than Fudge Graham and Chocolate Peanut Butter, but these two are satisfyingly flavorful, without any excess of sweetness. The energy boost is gradual and long-lasting, as it comes largely from proteins and not from a sugar rush. The chocolate coating unavoidably melts in hot weather, but it's only the thin outside layer - the rest of the bar maintains its integrity, so it's not a big mess if it gets warm.

This is my favorite brand, although kinda expensive, as are ALL of them. Favorite flavor is peanut butter/Chocolate. A little dry, especially fudge graham cracker and be careful of melted chocolate if ordering/shipping by mail. Wish they were cheaper but love the taste of these bars!

It is delicious and satisfying.

I have been buying Zone bars since a buff guy at the gym recommended I read Barry Sears book on The Zone. I understand nutrition better than anytime since high school, and his detailed descriptions for the layman explained why Zone bars are good for a snack or a meal substitute. I am not looking for a bar to 'tide me over.' I eat to stay healthy and to rebuild my system after a couple of age-related health issues. The Zone bar is constituted as a meal...so it can be a small meal or a snack. Perfect. I know of no other bar that can say that.

The Chocolate Peanut Butter bars are DELICIOUS! The Fudge Graham bars are just terrible, sadly.

The chocolate on the zone bars was melted. The taste is wonderful.

My husband eats 1 of these everyday so we saved $$ buying in bulk. I did make a mistake when I tried to expand his taste Horizon though. He ONLY like the chocolate peanut butter. That's on me & not a reflection on the product. He has limited taste budsLOL
