The whole Vaccuum clamping system is kind of a “what the hell?!” But it works and this accessory is a must have. It allows you to work all the way around the piece for edge banding, sanding, or using a power hand planer on a smaller piece when a work bench is not available. Festool is expensive shit but for professionals it’s worth it. For a hobbyist, not so much. If you buy this kind of stuff your work will get better and faster. Making high quality stuff is easy with practice, making money making high quality stuff for others is hard.

I know this and all Festool items are expensive but most pay for themselves over time. I bought the Vac clamp system to save wear and tear on my arthritic hands from year of being in construction. I have a wood shop just for fun and making things for family and friends, I also make custom cutting boards on the side. The vac system saves me from opening and closing vises, picking up and rotating wood pieces. I can't say enough good things about it. Top notch and this three piece set just adds to the list of boards I don't have to handle as much.

I'm learning how to make custom vacuum set ups, but this is a great way to get started with a professional, portable assortment. I do think it's overpriced, even for Festool, and I own MOST Festool offerings, so I'm familiar with spending cash on Festool gear.
