Clover hated the big plastic cone the vet put on her and kept busting out of it and I felt so bad. So we bought this one and although she isn't the biggest fan on having to wear stuff, after the third day or so, she stopped trying to break out of the soft cone and wears it overnight even. Clover is around 7.2 pounds and the small fits nicely. I can't exactly speak to how well it's actually stopping her from generally scratching or licking herself though. She was having a flea issue and scratching herself so badly that she got an infection. The medicine helped, so she isn't scratching much at all and the fleas are going. One problem area that she was scratching up was her neck. It obviously protects her neck, but if you're looking for something for your car to wear after getting spayed, I don't think this cone is the best choice and they'll probably still be able to get around it. You should probably consider a onesie outfit. Overall this item is good for the specific issue she was having. I hope that helps!

I don’t normal write reviews for things but this needed to done for any concerned cat parents out there trying to make their babies more comfortable. Our cat hated the plastic one from the vet and looked so uncomfortable it was breaking our hearts. This collar is so lightweight and soft I can see a dramatic difference in my cat’s comfort. He got it off twice but I believe that was my own fault for not putting it on tight enough, once adjusted properly it’s been on him for days without any problems. I would 100% recommend this to anyone interested. It kept our cat comfortable for his recovery and still didn’t allow him to get at his incisions. Plus it is much easier for him to eat and drink!

My poor kitty over-groomed one spot and gave herself a huge gash. Asking a cat not to groom is impossible. My girl had to wear a Cone of Shame once before and she got so depressed it was difficult to watch. Although this is still a collar, it is soft, easy to clean, she can still eat and drink and the quality is way more than I could have asked for. She is not overly thrilled about her new fashion accessory, but she doesn’t mind it half as bad as those nasty plastic cones. Thank you for making such a thing and offering it such at a great price. Oh, and I received it the very same day! Love Amazon. Thank you both. I highly recommend this product and am confident her boo boo will be able to heal quickly because of this collar.

Our cat developed a pretty nasty hotspot on her head. Once it starts, she can’t leave it alone. We’ve previously used a surgical suit for hotspots on her shoulders which worked well, but given this was right on the top of her head that wasn’t an option. This soft cone saved the day. It’s soft and really well made. I love that it velcros so I don’t have to slip it over her head but rather can loop it around. The Velcro is soft though so there’s no irritation. The ability to flip the cone forward or backward is also really nice - our cat walks, eats, and drinks more easily when it’s flipped backwards, but when she sleeps we pop it forward so she can lay her head down. I like there’s no strings or loops for her to get caught on. 10/10 recommend.

This cone of shame worked great for my cat that had got fixed but it was still a bit too large for her even with the smaller size to where she would struggle to eat. I wouldn’t recommend this for smaller animals (5-7 lbs) but it would work great for other ones. She discovered that it could be flipped backward to where it would not be in her way as much but would still prevent her from licking her wounds. She sometimes could get it off, but not if you secure it with enough room to breathe but not enough room to escape bunny kicks.

My cat is small, about 8lbs. Measured her neck, but have had trouble finding her right size w other cones, despite the measurement guides. I’d go a size smaller than you’d think tho. Her neck measures at 8 inches, but ordered a small anyhow. We’ve tried 2 other kinds, and this is the best so far. Very strong Velcro, soft, and super cute. My cat is used to it now, so I’m not sure if a very determined cat could get it off by themselves, but maybe.

This collar made the cat and me feel better! With the plastic cone, my cat could barely eat or drink and sleep looked uncomfortable. This collar is wider allowing better access to food and water, softer for more comfortable sleep, and lighter for better walking. I got both the small and medium. The small was a better fit for my 10 pound cat. Sometimes she would get it wet and get litter stuck to it, but I machine washed and dried so it was easy to clean. Her spay incision was higher up on the abdominal area and she wasn't able to reach it. Highly recommend!

My cat, Rusty, had a biopsy. Because there were stitches, my Vet sent Rusty home with a hard plastic cone. The cone didn't allow Rusty to eat or drink so every few hours I had to take it off so my cat could eat/drink. The new ComSaf blue collar is not as deep. It is easy to fasten (velcro). It can be flipped back for eating and drinking. And, it allows Rusty to sleep better. I have been spot cleaning it with hot water. I will buy another one to always have on hand.

For cats it is the best I have seen so far, it folds up or down it is comfortable around cats neck it is perfect for not being able to scratch her face, no cat will like it but with patience and on and off wearing they get used to it, i highly recommend it for cats

My cat loved this collar, she a plastic one on but it was pulling her head down and she hated it. After putting this one on she perked up and was able to comfortably eat, drink and cuddle up to me. Great product! Abbey is wearing the small size

Used on my small chihuahua after a surgery worked really well. Kept him away from the incision site and still allowed him to eat/ drink and play with his doggy buddies. Would recommend

Cone is really good - slightly heavy for my 5 month old kitten and neck hole is a little bit large - but it is adjustable enough for now and as she grows it will be fine.Much easier to put on than plastic cones and much more comfortable for her.

My Cat got a wound on his nose and he keeps rubbing it. This collar works good for avoiding his rubbing. It’s light and firm. Somehow his could gets through the hole to get his nose at one stage. Otherwise it’s good.
