Comparing Insect Lore with Safariology Differences
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this insect lore ladybug life cycle figurine set by mistake and then ordered the Safariology Life Cycle of a Ladybug and decided to do a comparison between the two sets.Insect Lore - more detailed paint on the figurines but the forms were much less detailed.Safariology - physical shapes and details were excellent but the painted patterns were sparse. So, my verdict is that they are both excellent and are wonderful visual hands-on teaching tools for early childhood education about nature and insect life cycles.Look at the video, check out the photos and simply decide for yourself which set is most appealing to you and your children.I will be paying close attention to other insect Lore sets as I was impressed by their painted details.Very happy and would certainly recommend Insect Lore Ladybug Life Cycle to anyone who wishes to advance the learning of their child that is 4 years of age or older.

Quality in a prek class
This product is just like the picture. The pieces are big enough for little hands to learn about the ladybug life cycle. The product is very good quality and holds up in a classroom or 3-5 year olds. Recommend!!!

Perfect match for Ladybug Land
This went with out Ladybug Land Habitat perfectly. It was nice for our child to have a larger model that she could hold and exam for each stage of the Ladybug. We plan on purchasing some of the other Life Cycle Stages as she learns about different insects and creatures. I would say that right now my child is two and these were appropriate for her age. While they are realistic looking and older child might find them less interesting.

This was great. I ordered the larva and used the plastic ...
This was great. I ordered the larva and used the plastic replicas for the children to follow the life cycle. We kept the live ladybugs for 2 days then let them fly into a small garden area where there were an abundance of aphids. The replicas were large enough and sturdy enough for them to really make the connection. They were 3 - 5 years old.

Ladybug fun and interesting for 3 year old
My son, 3,5 years, loves these. (We also have ant, frog and butterfly.) He likes to sort them and talk about them and what they are doing. We looked up some videos on youtube showing the metamorphosis of the butterfly. The videos helped my son to understand that the four figures were different stages of the same animal. The figures are fairly large, which makes it easy for young children to handel and see the details. I found the mature ladybug could have been prettier.

Ideal Stand Alone Lesson or Perfect Supliment
Perfect compliment to the lady bug habitat. I passed round the eggs, then the larva followed by the pupa. I withheld the adult ladybug and allowed them to observe and predict what insect would emerge from its final metamorphosis. They love the hands on opportunity since they can't touch the actual critters.

Insect Lore Ladybug Life Cycle Stages
I bought this along with the Butterfly Life Cycle Stages while we were studying insects (ladybugs) in our kindergarten class. The hands on experience helped my little ones understand each stage as it was happening. The ladybug larve arrived and the children where able to show me how the cycle began and ended. Awesome!!
