Very easy to change out the old hose
Pleasantly surprised! It fits perfectly on my 10 year old Eureka Smartvac, "The Boss," model # 4870. Very easy to change out the old hose. It was my husband's idea to do this. I didn't think it would fit/work, and was looking for some kind of flexible tape to fix the old hose splits/holes. I wish I did this years ago, when the first hole developed in the hose. Please keep in mind that I have just installed the new hose, and do not know how it will hold up over time. The quality of the hose seems equal to, or dare I say even better, than the original? So far I am really thrilled to have this and it is definitely well worth the $16. I will update this review in the future if at any time I change my mind.

Works perfectly
Fits perfectly. It is a little shorter than the original one but so much better than taping the old one together. So glad I purchased this. Easy install for a 76 yr old woman.

It fits the Eureka model 4870GZ vacuum that I bought sometime in late 2005 so, makes me happy!
Ok. So I haven't seen the issue with it being smaller than the OEM version .. I guess that just means I gotta carry the vacuum a bit more and lift it a bit higher.As far as the, hose ripping/disconnecting/popping, I just got it yesterday 9/29/21 so I'll hold comments on it. Do know that if it becomes unserviceable after a few uses I'll be back.Installed easy but that's a function of overall design not benefit of the new hose. My hardware was simply phillips head screws.

Exact fit
Gave a 2nd lease on life to our vacuum after the original hose deteriorated and ripped. Note: you will need a star bit to remove the old hose and replace it, at least on our vacuum. There is a plastic piece holding the hose at the bottom that has to be loosened to get the old hose out and the new one in

Replaced worn hose on my older Eureka upright. Works great! I'm moving back to some carpeting in new home ,prefer hard surface flooring but this was a great solution.

worth the price
I expected a hose made of stiff black plastic. Similar to a shop vac. It was not, in fact it is very close to original equipment.
