This tape-measure is THE Tape-Measure. Solid build that could probably take a bullet. This is generational in that these Stanley tape-measure get passed down from parent to child. Perfect size, not to big but perfect for the hand. Good weight and the Locking feature has been aces for decades. Simple design that that leads to a user friendly measuring tool.

I bought this to replace an identical model that was getting worn out. I work in construction and these tape measures are on my belt every day, and used dozens of times a day. My previous tape lasted at least 5 years. I have been using this model for at least 25 years with no complaints. Forget the rest. This is the one you need. I should just buy a few more in case they ever stop making them.

This is my favorite tape measure. It's wide enough that the tape doesn't bend. Numbers are easy to ready. Operation is smooth. The lock button works perfectly.
