Great and fun kit! Excellent customer service!
This kit is fun to build and useful to have around once completed. If you work with electronics, its very convenient to have a single power source on your bench that will cover a wide range of voltages and currents. This little gadget will do that. One potentiometer adjusts its voltage output and the other the amps that it puts out. If you are new to DIY electronic kits then there are online instructions and/or YouTube videos on building this kit that you can refer to-the kit does not come with paper instructions. Others who have done a few of these kits really dont need instructions since everything is fairly well labelled on the PCB board. Customer service from this seller is great as well! My kit arrived with two resistors missing. I emailed the seller about this and he immediately replied, promising to replace the missing components. I just received the replacement resistors today and was happy to discover that the seller sent me a couple EXTRA resistors along with the two that were missing AND he also sent me a heat sink that fits onto the kit. At this point in my review, Ill point out that the seller sells another kit identical to this one except that it comes with a heat sink and fan. Id recomend that kit over this one since this device really should have a way of getting rid of excess heat. The seller also recomends the upgraded kit but did not point that kit out to me until after I had purchased this one. Either way, I recommend this version of the kit if you understand that it may get hot and I recommend the seller. Have fun.

Doesn't work. Waste of time.
The board is well made and labeled. However, no instructions. I was able to figure out most of the parts but some are difficult to read small size. The problem is that it doesn't work. Output is just a few millivolts regardless of the settings of the pots. It does get unusually warm in the area of the three ICs. Power in is correct. Unfortunately, with no circuit diagram and no instructions, it's impossible to trouble shoot the problem. The circuit seems unnecessarily complicated. A linear regulator could consist of a voltage reference IC and a few power transistors. However, this circuit includes about 25 resistors and 15 diodes and three ICs plus capacitors, etc. and I have no idea what they are all doing.

Great value.
A really good bargain and it comes with the heat sink and fan!! Goes together really easy and had been stable in the few weeks that I have been using it. Purchasing the individual components

Built this for a final project in electronics class
Burnt up the D1047 power transistor...twice. Replaced with a NTE36, and it worked fine. Ran the outputs through a relay, and pull it in with a bistable switch made with a 555 timer with a lighted push button. Fun project. The silk screen works fine to build it, but a schematic would be helpful for troubleshooting.
