Wondreful
Excellent bit for deep channels. Used it to make full 3" deep channels, worked wonderfully, just make sure not to take too much at a time. ALthough with the upcut I was taking more per pass than other bits that I have used.

Works well for the price
Needed this to cut multi later birch plywood 1.5" thick. Just went down in 1/4" steps and it cut fine. Because of its long length just go slower than you usually would with a short bit . Longer bits tend to break if you apply too much force. Great bit for the price and cut better than I expected very clean edges.

Worked Well to Create 2" Deep Dado
Needed to create several 2" deep, 1/4" wide dados and thought this bit would do the job. Because this bit is so long I was concerned that the bit would be prone to breaking as some have reported. I tried a 1/4" deep pass (typical for shorter bits) but the chatter was too great. I reduce the cutting depth to 1/8" and chattering was still unacceptable and the dado cut was not clean. I finally decided, using 1/8" depth of cut to do a series of multiple plunges (ie used the bit like a drill bit) across the length of the dado (roughly every 1/4'). This serves to hog out a lot of the material but puts no lateral stress on the bit. I then came back after the drill cuts and used the bit normally to remove the rest of the material. There was little to no chatter at this point as much of the wood had already been removed. It was slow and tedious but the resulting dados were flawless.

Shaft broke on first use.
The shaft broke on the first use cutting MDF. Fortunately I was able to use the tool with a shorter shaft. Returned product to Amazon for refund.

Great value.
I needed this to CNC 1.75 inch thick glue up panels. At the time of this review probably have 100 hours on this but and it's still working as well as the first day I used it.

Much higher quality than I expected
This was much sharper and much more high quality than anticipated for the price. I've used it now to cut several table tops with a router jig and it performed flawlessly.

Exactly what was expected and needed
Worked great on the 1 1/2 inch mdf. Got the done. After the job the operator tried it on some 1 1/2 inch oak with out changing speed/feed. He got 2 of the 6 3/4" thru holes before the bit snapped.

Works!
Looked for longer spiral cutting bits and only found this one. Using it in my fau Festool Domino built from modified chinese tool used to cut more shallow but similar holes. It's working. Have not gone beyond testing of hardwoods and soft woods. It's ready when I need loose tenons.

Excellent CNC bit
I have been looking for a longer 1/4 end mill for a while now. This bit works great, very sharp and gives a awesome finishing cut. The 4” length allows me to cut through wood over 2” ( using multiple passes of course ) I would recommend these bits to any new CNC user.

Excellent for router table
I use this bit to joint 2" thick boards on my router table. Works great. The cutting depth is just a hair under 2 1/8", so it's great to edge trim rough-sawn 8/4 stock. You need a strong router however. A trim router will not do very well.

More and more impressed with SpeTool!
This is the third product from SpeTool that I have purchased (all CNC bits) and I am sincerely impressed with the value for the price compared to "other" brand names. Sometimes less than half the cost of those brands and for at least two of the three for which I have "other" brands, I see very very little difference.

Broken after one use
Do not buy. Won’t last. Buy a quality bit. This broke after the first try. I have a wood working business and do this all the time. I thought I’d try a different bit. Will stick with quality bits going forward
