This Dry Stout is black in color with a brown head, and is very full-bodied. It has a rich maltiness paired with a sharp bite from the roasted grains, and impressive hop profile. This kit includes all the ingredients necessary for your first 5 gallon (2 cases) batch of homebrew. Our special recipe ingredient kits are totally complete and include: all the malt extract needed for the recipe (no need to add sugar here), specialty grains for added flavor and a cheesecloth bag for steeping them, fresh hops for just the right amount of bitterness, flavor and aroma, yeast, clarifier, priming sugar for bottling and full instructions specific to each recipe. Our equipment kit sets you up with all the special equipment you need to make outstanding homebrew again and again. It is versitile and easily expandable to grow with you and your interests. Kit includes: 6.5 gallon fermenting bucket with lid, stopper and airlock, 6.5 gallon bottling bucket, bottle filler, bottle capper, 144 caps, 5 ft siphon hose, 24 in siphon cane with anti-sediment tip, hydrometer, thermometer, sanitizer and an instruction book. The only extra items you will need are a stock pot to boil in (we suggest at least a 3-5 gallon size) and beer bottles that are either pry-off (not twist off) or flip-top to bottle in. Great equipment and great starter beer
This is the same equipment kit that our local brew stores carry, and after using it I can see why they put their confidence in it. Everything worked really well. We only had to spend a little time figuring out what each piece of equipment was (e.g., which bucket was for bottling, which for fermenting), but beyond that the equipment and instructions were great. The Irish stout that the ingredient kit makes really turned out nicely - stout isn't my favorite, but we're not going to have any problems finishing this batch... which is great, because I'm looking forward to the next batch quite a bit!

Amazing
I found the actual process to be fascinating. Of course, I like things with detailed instructions. I followed the directions exactly and the beer was actually some of the best I've ever had, better than Guinness in my opinion. I do recommend have quite a powerful stove though, the more water you heat in the first stage the better.

Very good bang for ur buck
Seriously best bang for your buck! The kit came nicely wrapped with sturdy, very well made materials. The materials looked expensive and sturdy. The glass materials came wrapped in big bubble wrap. The Irish stout materials came wrapped in thick plastic packaging and a sealed box. The buckets were thick food grade quality buckets. The kit also included a fancy thermometer and hydrometer, which both alone were really great products. I made Irish stout with this kit and I could not tell the difference between the microbrews and mine. The directions also broke down the steps in which to make it so they were easy to follow. The only item I recommend that is not included in the kit is a five gallon pot for the stove. It is not required but makes it easier. I also recommend that u look on youtube on how to use the siphon. Overall, I was very happy with his kit, well worth every penny.
