Actually makes a difference – especially if you have asthma
The media could not be loaded. I don’t usually write really long reviews, but I felt like I had to with this one. I’ve had the Philips 1000i Series (model AC1715/30) for about a week now, and if you have asthma or allergies, just get it. It’s been a complete game-changer for me.I have chronic asthma and pollen season always hits me hard. Since I started using this purifier, I feel like I can actually breathe. My lungs feel lighter, my sleep has improved, and I just feel more at ease in my own home. That alone is worth it.Set-up was super simple — literally plug it in and it’s ready to go. I have a small bedroom (around 12 m²), but I chose this bigger model since it covers up to 78 m². It clears my whole room in under 5 minutes. The air quality monitor is really accurate too. I noticed the PM2.5 numbers shoot up when I’m cooking — even if the door’s just slightly open — and then drop right back down once it’s been on turbo for a few minutes. I’ve taken screenshots to show how quickly it cleans the air (under 10 minutes).Design-wise, it’s really sleek and minimal. Most purifiers are clunky or ugly, but this one actually looks good. It blends in with my space and doesn’t stand out like a medical device.Sleep mode is properly silent — not just “quiet,” but actually silent. And if I want a bit of background hum, I use the second-highest mode or turbo. It gives off this gentle white noise that I actually like at night. The app is also great — very user-friendly and clear. One of my favourite features is that I can control the purifier from anywhere, not just when I’m on the same Wi-Fi. So when I’m at the office, I just open the app and turn it off during the day to save energy, then switch it back on 20–30 minutes before I come home. By the time I walk through the door, I know the air’s already been cleaned and I’m not breathing in lingering cooking smells or dust. It’s honestly such a nice feeling.Power consumption is low too, so even if you want to leave it on more often, it’s not going to make a big difference to your electricity bill.Bottom line: this purifier is absolutely worth it. It works, it looks good, and it’s made a huge difference to my asthma in just one week. Highly recommend — especially if you’re dealing with pollen, pets, or pollution.

The display shows you that it senses impurities and their removal.
Our central heating is via a multifuel stove in our living room, it requires stoking twice a day that allows some impurities to be released into the room. and perhaps when it's running some come back from the air intake. This unit senses these slight changes and immediately increases the fan speed to remove any particles. It also runs quietly and because the purified air exits through the top it moves the air within the room to distribute the heat.I would recommend this unit especially for this application.

Good but Maybe better to buy different model for infection
I purchased for infection protection. No idea if correct decisionGoodLooks snazzy , fairly compact.Has app and it apparently voice controlClaims about tiny particles size and infection controlLength of filter life apparentlyLow running cost apparentlyHas a medium speed/ sound optionBadApparently most hepa filters can catch very small particles (but how well varies ) so not necessarily a USPCADR 300 quite small for size of unitThe speed range has massive jump from medium to turbo boost, when the consumer would be served by a speed below the noise of max but more power than mediumApp is laggyI wish I’d purchased the aeg 7000 larger unit with a fan feature which is which best buy, currently on sale so same price and has more control over speed and larger CADR. But it is large rectangle and grey.

Quite and works really well
Works really well, oversized for what we need but better safe than sorry, sensor works really well and the noise levels are little to none except when working hard but you'd expect it

Silent
Works really well. I really got it for my cat who has asthma, if my partner sprays deodorant I can select the fast fan and it removes all the nasties in the air. At night I put it on the night setting so it still works but you don’t hear it.

Looking forward to tackling the pollen.
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this as I suffer quite badly from hay-fever and other allergies. Being early in the year and can't really say if it has helped much. Its a pretty big machine, similar to them big kettles you get at school events or pup meetings, so make sure ypu have a decent place to put it. I have found the touch screen very easy to use and brilliantly responsive along with the app. My house is generally very quiet so I do hear it whirling away in the day time but it's not loud enough to hear if I put the TV or radio on, obviously if the air quality goes bad (mainly from cooking) it does speed up somewhat for a few minutes to bring it back down. When it gets dark the light turns itself off and it goes to an even slower, almost silent mode so it would be ideal for a bedroom too. I quite like the design. There are some cheaper ones out there and more expensive ones too, but as a mid point one I am very impressed.

First use of the device, hardware seems great. App software needs work !
The media could not be loaded. First use of the device - not too noisy and can be left in auto mode.Key note is the connection of the device to WiFi didn't work using my android device and I had to use a Apple device which allowed me to connect to the Air purifier.Overall very happy with the device let's see how it goes on over time.
