DNA EM-L-GLI-BK-RD - Black & Red GLI Logo Metal Decal Emblem

I bought these in hopes to replace the letters from the front of my 2014 Jetta GLI which had mostly been lost. The description implied that they would match up. Not only did they not match up to the originals, the G wasn't even the same size font as the L and I. It looked ridiculous when I tried to attach them where the originals had been. I had only lost the I, and in order to install these I had to remove my G and L. Now I have no letters at all thanks to their shoddy product. Yeah, they are metal and looked nice enough on the paper, but when you try to install them you'll realize that the G is smaller than the others, and that it isn't shaped remotely the same as the factory text. Thanks to me not paying close enough attention, I inadvertently have left my car worse off than it was before by prepping it for all new letters. And to add insult to injury, now I'm being told I have to pay over half the cost of these letters just to ship them back. This seller is a scammer. One star is too good for them. I'm stuck with some junk product and can't even get a refund when by my buying their product I have actually ended up making my situation worse. I should have just left well enough alone rather than believe that these people had managed to make proper replacements for my car. And even better yet, they magically no longer offer this product. So I was basically just a sucker that they pawned off some junk inventory to. This type of seller shouldn't even be on Amazon. They're just some scammer trying to make a quick buck without following through with their products expectations. Live and learn I guess. I can promise I'll never buy from this seller again no matter what kind of promises they make.If you're smart, you'll just go to a junk yard and look for the letters/emblem there. I could have airbrushed them to match this color if I was so inclined. I guess that will be my next step. Too bad too, it's not like the quality was bad, they just get an F for effort on making them actually match the factory letter size and shape. They could have made an excellent product if they had just made sure they got the shape and size right. If they had, I'd dare say that they'd have surpassed the originals. Instead, they just made things harder for me and I had to pay for that privilege. No one would thank them for something like that.

It took longer than is said it was going to, to arrive so this order was off to a bad start, then when it arrived it is indeed not the same size as the original (as another review mentioned) and the original are also slanted slightly and these are not. I think that if you’re picky (like me) try to just rap the original. Sounds absurd but it is what it is.

Faded after 6 months of use

This emblem comes stamped out in the double sided tape which then doubles as a stencil and makes for a very quick installation. Just take the adhesive off the back of each letter, leave the backing paper on the rest of the rectangle piece, line it up straight on the panel, press on, and pull the rest of the adhesive rectangle off around the letters - took me 3 minutes. My only complaint is not really a complaint but the letter font reminds me of the MK5 GLI’s and mine being an MK6, it did not match the font of the original badges. This isn’t a complaint though because there are now no other badges to compare to. It looks great, and matches the blacked out with red accents look I’m going for on my MK6 Gli.
