Not what I was hoping for. Bought these to replace the original laces that seemed a bit too thick and was looking for something that had a more polished look. Unfortunately, these laces have a matte look, aren’t as black as the ones that came with the shoes and the wax seems to come off pretty easily even after inserting them. I was also left with a feeling of wax on my fingers, which I didn’t enjoy.The photo shows the new laces on the left and the original ones on the right.

These laces are miraculous. If you wind them through the holes on your shoes, and then pull them tight and tie them, your shoes won't fall off your feet! I know young men who love their shoes untied and ready to abandon them if they walk faster than two steps an hour will hate these, but for us older folks who like to walk fast and hate it when our shoes fall off our feet, they are perfect.

These really are thin but should be great if your shoes have fine holes for laces. I have a friend who needs thin laces so I'll give him a pair since I bought a few.My first time with waxy laces. For the first several weeks they stick and make it a challenge to take your shoes off. I imagine this would be a great feature if used for fine formal shoes that require thin laces to hold without pulling the laces tight to break. For my purposes, because that is not my situation - they've already broken in nicely and I hope the wax will make them more durable.I was also excited to see that these were made here in Virginia!

These look good and still look great after a couple months wearing on two pairs of dress shoe for work. The ends have all broken off, which was disappointing, but they still work and look perfect.

These laces look good, do not come untied, but there is so much wax that the laces don’t “glide” through the shoe laces smoothly. Just too hard to snug up laces. Used them for about 2 months thinking they might break in... Nope still the same. Likely I will remove them and buy none wax laces.

These are laces meant for dress shoes. They are on the thin side (which is perfect for many dress shoes), made of cotton, and waxed. Fortunately, the specs shown on the webpage is a good description so there should be no surprises to those who pay attention to what they buy.I think it's important to single out sellers who do a very good some from those who don't. You're not just buying a product, you're also paying for a seller's service. Towards that end, I want to complement a seller "Forthefeet."My original order hadn't arrived within the specified time. These are great shoelaces. I bought these to replace new shoe laces on a pair of dress shoes that I just couldn't keep tied. These stay put without requiring a double knot. They look great with my new dress shoes and definitely much better than the laces that came with them! I will definitely purchase again.

Awesome shoe laces. I just wish that I could find them in a 32" size. These laces are perfect for dress shoes. They tie easily and they lay flat on you instead of sticking up in the air like the cheap ones do.
